If you wanted the Desire HD but thought it was too big, get the Incredible S. The only benefit to the Desire S is that it comes with Android 2.3, but it has a noticeably worse camera than it's older brothers.

The Incredible S is due to get an upgrade to 2.3 in a couple of weeks according to an HTC rep who was in my workplace the other week.

2010 had Desire > Legend > Wildfire
2011 has Incredible S > Desire S > Wildfire S I read a review today that said Desire S is 90% the same as the Incredible S but cheaper and with the aluminium unibody design. I'd go with the Desire S. |

Yes, go for the Desire S. The Incredible S has not been that popular, so they might have less updates for it, whereas there is no exclusivity for the HTC Desire S so there should be more customers and one would hope more long term support.
Only get the Desire HD if you want the bigger screen (4.3 inches) than the Desire S (3.7 inches). Otherwise, go for the newer model. |

It's doing OK but certainly not selling as well as the Desire S - as much as anything because it's CPW exclusive
