Can a Samsung LE32a456 handle 1080p
Hi all,
Simple question really. I have just plugged a PS3 into my TV and it defaulted to 1080p. The display is really good, despite the instructions saying that the TV is only 1080i. In addition, when you press the guide button, it does register as 1080 rather than 1080i. Is this ok to use or am i overworking/trashing the TV? cheers

The specs here say it's 1080p capable (the 24p technology bit), and just the fact that you get a picture confirms that it is.
![]() Obviously it's downscaling the 1080 lines to 768.

As long as it works it's fine - when they don't work you get either a blank screen, or an 'out of range' message.

Most TVs on the market nowadays will accept a 1080p input regardless of the actual native resolution.
