Doctors do make the best narrators don't they?

The amount of programs I've seen with a Doctor narrating is quite incredible!

Have you heard them in any shows recently? Any adverts? And when they're in them, how long does it take you to work it out?

I think Paul Mcgann is narrating a program about Egypt right now and David Tennant did that program Twenty twelve recently. I only saw one scene of that but still.

Oh, and it doesn't take me long to work out its them. I'm quite good at recognizing voices. But only of Doctors

I can spot McGann because I listen to the 8th Doctor on radio, and I can spot Tennant because it's Tennant and I have a Tennant radar.

Not sure about the other Doctors, though. Have any of them done any voiceovers?

Tom Baker did Little Britain's voiceover throughout its run...

And something tells me McCoy did something recently, and not the crisps

Ah, yes, I knew about TB and Little Britain. Though sometimes if you think it's TB you have to check it's not Culshaw.

Marcus Bentley as a future Doc ??

Twenty-twelve I'd recommend. Prisoner Zero keeps making the Pirate Captain sandwiches. The Captain has rows with Joan Redfern while The Doctor gives a minute by minute commentary on them.

Episode 2 was a prequel to 'Fear Her'.

If that's true I nominate Matt Berry as a future Doctor!

Actually he didn't narrate, he wrote the music and sang the songs (including the theme) with Sandra Dickinson

Ok, I'm off to sit in pedant corner now!

...actually, I could be wrong!

I've just watched Gareth Malone's Sea Songs, narrated by Paul McGann, on BBC2.

3 of my favourite things all at once! Brilliant!

Going off at a slight tangent, India Fisher who played Charley Pollard alongside Paul McGann and Colin Baker in many Big Finish audios also does the voiceover for Masterchef

I was flicking through the channels on telly a couple weeks back and came across David Tennant narrating a programme about the Starlight charity.

I would have stopped on it longer to listen to him but Katie Price was one the screen. eek!
