Because she asked the fans, and they chose that.

I think it's the fact the label wanted Cheers to be the lead single and the radio stations said Only Girl would work better, coupled with the fact CKB was chosen as a single by the fans...

I like them both.

But yup, I would probably choose Cheers, I agree. It's something a bit different from the latest singles.

Man Down is being released in the US (I think) as well as CKB.

They should both get released IMO. Will there be any more singles after CKB?

EDIT: Already answered, thank you Paps.

It think it's time they released a ballad/slower song from her as there's already been 3 club bangers released.

Personally I would have loved Cheers to be released. It's one of my favourites from the album and it has such a summer feel to it.

So CKB, Man Down, C(DTT) are all being released. I also think that Raining Men may be.

That's 6 or 7 singles... really?

Rated R had 5 and Loud is (IMO) a much stronger album so it would be welcomed. I think she may re-release it though, so maybe we'll get a new song.

It's speculation, but more than likely it will eventually.

OH, and Raining Men has already been released to radio. It happened in Dec.

"At the beginning of March 2011, Rihanna asked fans to help her select her next single. Via twitter, fans were asked to choose from "Cheers (Drink to That)", "Man Down", "California King Bed" or "Fading"."

I think that may suggest the next singles.

Her fans voted for it, so it's a sure hit.

Fans who have all purchased Loud and have the tracks already. Cheers would have a much wider commercial appeal than California King Bed. With the exception of Take A Bow Rihanna's ballads/slower songs tend to become minor hits.

She's releasing 7 songs out of 10, she's running out of songs now!... soo funny
I bet you, she's going to re-release Loud, like she did with GGGB. That's why I haven't bought Loud yet... I've just had a feeling she was going to.

Surely 7 singles is a bit ridiculous... talk about milking an album, even if it's a very good one. I don't think that'll happen - if Man Down and CKB are both confirmed then I think they'll leave it at that, or just possibly one more (probably Cheers if it's a fan favourite, but if it's true that promo for Raining Men has started then presumably that).

I feel they cannot be compared as loud is a much more happier, care-free dancey album but rated r is one of my faves album too as the raw emotion and lyrics in songs such as russian roulette, cold case love and the last song were amazing i think rated r should have done better but some people did'nt like the change of direction

I was hoping that after Rated R and GGGB, that Rihanna would release another Dancehall album, like her first two, but when she said that Loud would be a dance album, I was disappointed that the album was a mixed bag of different genres. Its not a bad album, but she's done better.
