I think floating voters will get bored of Stefano's puppy dog ballad eyes/over emotion. Why couldn't they have advised him to do something else? Maybe they did?

I'm not sure they like Lauren any more. That song is hardly epic.

They should have advsed Stefano against doing another ballad, but they probably want to put the nails in the coffin for him after last week to protect whoever their favourites are.

The Climb will suit Lauren - at least it's current and has a more positive message than End Of The Road. She should be able to sing it much better than Miley did too. I would've preferred Can't Fight The Moonlight for her though.

IMO Haley is in danger of being in the bottom 3 ...

Once again grunted through her song, plus it was a bad song choice.

Her performance was bad. Stomping around on stage, flinging her arms around as if she had no control over them plus the squatting on stage (what's that all about )

Her outfit a very short mini dress, only long enough to cover her a$$ with thigh length boots. Even Steve made an inappropriate comment about looking up her dress.
Haley over did the "sexy siren" on stage, which won't go down well with Middle America

Haley was the only contestant tonight who had lukewarm reaction for her performance from all 3 judges and Randy said he didn't like the song choice either.

Thanks for that Skyrah. Simon hates that song too, so she'd have had an even worse time if he was still on the panel.

Her grunting seems to go down well with America, not with me though. Hopefully they will tire of it this week!

i think it's nice to have some diversity in a competition like this (which includes diversity in gender as obviously girls usually have a higher range and it's nice to hear songs sung differently)

Talent matters of course - which is why it's unfair that pia left when she is vocally better than the majority, if not all, of the remaining contestants.

Really? I don't remember him hating it when Diana sang it on XF. Why on earth should he hate Blondie? Any man old enough who doesn't appreciate Deborah Harry is definitely of a different persuasion.


Her voice may have been better than some but it wasn't outstanding enough to compensate for her lack of personality and performance skills (unlike Leona for example).

I'm not middle america at all, but I find it a tad irritating when girls seem to feel they have to play the sexy card to get through. It's like "you may not like my voice and that stupid gimmick grunt i do, but at least you can check out my legs".... I'm not a prude, and I don't care what clothes people wear, it's just that I don't think she's naturally classy enough to pull that off.
Also, I'm a big Blondie fan, and was not amused by her cover.

Regarding Scotty, "everybody's talking" is a nice song and he's a dummy for not singing it.

Casey I'm getting a bit tired of. He hit some bum notes, which obviously the judges didn't mention, and, like Haley, he just can't let go of his vocal tics.

Simon did like Diana but I'm sure i'v heard before that he hated the song.

Gender's one form of diversity, but shouldn't be put before talent when voting. I don't think Pia should've been eliminated, but rather her than Stefano. I think that Paul, Casey. Haley and Jacob at least, should have ben eliminated before either Pia or Stefano.

ok i watched it live last night and i think stefano was one of the better ones in a bit of a train wreck of a night. I think it was the poorest show since the opening night of the season and there was more than 1 person that i had to mute during their song.

Pauls choice was too safe!!! He had energy, charisma in bucketloads but the song only had about 4 notes in it!!!! He definitely in BIG trouble tonight unfortunately, and i tihnk he knows it himself hes not his chirpy self on twitter today; BUT just a honourable mention to that suit!! WOW!! i think he needs to stay just for the suit and the promise that he will just come out in boxers and socks next week :P (watch his VT to understand) 6/10

Lauren- Miley Cyrus please!! if i hadnt heard enough with joe singing it!!! she did ok with it but our song choices for her were much better. i think she will struggle in the votes but be safe. No doubt she will get the tween vote, though i think telling her she had to get Pias vote and not care less about her may be a little bit close to the edge tbh 6.5/10

Stefano - awww poor Stefano with his feeling sorry for myself VT! love the jimmy told him to get a grip basically he was wonderfully cranky it was brilliant. I love that Boyz II Men song, i think he sung it well but his vocals always sound a bit thin to me :s one of the top 4 on the night which isnt saying much 7/10

Scotty - oh god can this boy bore me anymore! guess what he sang, Country Country Country if he ever did a Rock song i think id have a heart attack!!! i switched him off half way in as i was worried about falling asleep!! Now i know he will be safe but hes getting so predictable now its ridiculous!! How can they tell Pia to change it about and not him!! Worse of the night for me by a long way -55/10

Casey - Hmmmmmmmmm, by this time is was needing a few Vodkas!!! Just to Cope with it all!! seriously!! a Standing O!!! ridiculous!! he coughed, growled, snarled but never sung i HATED it and again turned it off half way through1!! If there is nay justice in the world he would be in the B3 and possibly out after this but i guess some will be fooled by the SO :s (and is it me or does he look like a serial killer more and more each week) oh and he will get points for the Bass, in fact the Bass was far more interesting than him!! - 4/10

Haley - For one a non safe song choice but she didnt nail it, it was now becoming a growlfest and my ears were struggling a bit. steven made his usual comment which basically meant i want to sleep with you, Randy actually judged for once (cue near heart failure) and JLo obvs hated but didnt want to say too much because of girl power and all that :s she seems to be the one who disappointed this week whcih would normally mean shes out 6/10

Jacob - You know its a bad night when Jacob (how many weird facial expressions can i get in tonight and how many times can i be reminded that i need to look in the Mirror and not preach to the masses) is in my top 4 performances!! Not a patch on Rhydians version, or of course the original. he pouted, gurned, nearly cryed, looked awful in his suit but the vocals especially in the higher range were spot on. he has got himself bk in the game i believe (which in true form and my crap predicitions means of course hes gone tonight!) 8/10

James - biggest disappointment of the night for me actually. I was so excited to hear some Heavy Metal, but didnt really realise it was going to be the song Heavy Metal!! He screamed, shouted, danced around a bit, posed with Zakk Wylde, strutted, screamed, yelled and then finished hmmmmm. Will be safe, and deserves to be but his VT came across as a bit self absorbed but he can get away with what Jacob cant unfortunately - 6/10

In other words my bottom three would be Scotty/Casey/Haley which is bloody ridiculous cos i know it wont happen (or will it) (with Casey going) which means it will be Stefano/Jacob and Paul with me in total mouring over the loss of Pauls Rosey suit of my screen and going to watch x Factor performances and actually being glad that it wasnt as much as a train wreck as last night!

Not sure where I heard about Simon hating Blondie and the song Call Me but it could've been in relation to Carmen Rasmussen from S2.

Aw it does look as if Stefano's being set up to fail, but I hope it backfires!

Nice review Lisa, not surprised Stefano's been feeling sorry for himself after last week. Surprised he's not in your bottom 3 for once but it's good to see. Convert to him when Paul goes!
