I had to laugh when Jimmy criticised Jacob's original song choices for being too corny, and then suggested that he should sing Bridge Over Troubled Water instead.

Haha i may do, but then that will be kiss of death as none of my faves ever win!! i mean i backed Rhydian thinking i was on to a banker and look what happened!! Danyl was odds on fave until i supported him and look what happened!! I must admit luckily i have other people i like ie James so it wont be awful when Paul goes.

On performance he shouldnt be in the B3 but hes odds on to go with the bookies atm his odds have crashed to be eliminated which is weird as i havent seen it happen before :s

I agree this week. I mean i love James because he sings the genre of music i love but his VT imo was far worse than Jacobs silly remarks yet people are saying good for him for standing up for himself.

I have no doubt his condition contributes a lot of his behavioural characteristics however im starting to wonder whether the excuse is being used to much and hes starting to believe the total hype thats surrounding him.

I backed Rhyd too, can't believe Leon won. I was even unluckier than you re: XF as I liked Rikki! I did like Joe as well though. This year my fave was Hollie Burns, who only made it to the top 100

Lol I didn't think my origiinal post had sent, but I added an extra bit so the double post wouldn't be such a disaster lol I wouldn't underestimate Asperger's/Tourette's re: James, as I, my boyfriend and some of my best friends have similar conditions. They affect us differently, but we all come out with things we shouldn't sometimes! (Usually me, regarding Stefano, to my bf haha!)

stefano and Casey are shortest odds to leave atm, which i think may be close to what might happen. I actually genuinely believe Casey is in bags of trouble tonight. dialidol have him at the bottom of there predictions as well, with Stefano 4th from Bottom. Pauls have actually lengthened slightly but i dont believe them at all haha im 99% certain he will be gone tonight. I had the same feeling when Danyl went out, it was an inevitability about it.

paul is living on borrowed time anyway, as is Stefano unfortunately; neither will win or make top 5 so i think if one of them goes tonight the other will follow nest week with Haley the week after. I think its will be a James/Scotty/Lauren top 3 definitely.

I think If stefano goes tonight he will go out on a high, proving the critics wrong, and i think hes at peace with himself. If Paul survives the death slot then im more hopeful he may make that 5th/6th spot

Wouldn't mind seeing Casey go. Haven't noticed him looking like amass murderer before but he does remind me of The Honey Monster He's talented, but more as a musician than as a singer, so probably isn't ideal for Idol lol

Wouldn't want to think of any of the Idols leaving and feeling disappointed in thesmselves, so at least if Stefano leaves it'll be on a high, perhaps Paul's performance will grow on him too. Sounds like Haley's had a worse week than either of them this week, so she's our best hope of keeping both of us happy.

A Lauren, Scotty and James final would be OK with me (other than missing Stefano) and I'd want James to win, but could cope with any result. I don't hate Scotty like you do lol

The feeling of a favourite being at risk is horrible. It actually used to affect my behaviour at school during other series a few years ago. I found out about Kristy Lee Cook's elimination online by accident, couldn't sleep and kept crying lol!

I just hate the fact that out of all of them his performances are so predictable, and boring. i understand why people like him but i dont like country music tbh so i think im a bit biased.

i rarely get involved with contestants because i know what im like, i get TOO involved. The only one i really have is Danyl. i supported him right from the start, went to see him a lot, but found out to my cost that becoming that close to a contestant and seeing them a lot creates competition, bitterness and jealousy even with people who i thought were friends therefore swore never to do it again. Supporting Paul is excellent because i can become involved, but i cant see him so it keeps that distance.

i expected Paul to leave during the double elimination therefore hes last longer than i expected him to so im a bit at peace with him going. I hate the thought of his disappointed face though :S

Scotty is a bit predictable, a lot of the contestants are being allowed/encouraged to be too predictable this year, which I don't think is a benefit to the show. Do you dislike Lauren's country style, or is she "crossover" enough for you? I don't mind country, but there are more types of country song than Scotty's showing us!

I tend to get very involved with the contestants, even the Americans. I've nev er had too bad an experience because of it, just a few online rows. I don't think people should fall out with their real friends over AI or XF though, can't believe that happened with yours over Danyl Then again, my friend has Asperger's and has a severe Rhydian obsession, and fell out with my boyfriend (when we were just friends) because he tried teasing her about him, which you can't do with her. I love being teased about Stefano though, it's better than not talking about him! Lol

I would love to see my AI faves live, but not having been able to hasn't made me any more detached for them. I'm still waiting for a UK tour from Jordin Sparks!

However much I expect it, I always hate llosing a favourite. With Kristy, it didn't even help that I had a joint favourite, with the same surname, although I was delighted when he went on to win! I'm just glad that although I liked Pia, she wasn't my fave, as that would've been a massive and totally unexpected blow!

I prefer Lauren to Scotty, at least she tries something different. Yeah my experience with Danyl is still painful (though he hasnt helped but thats another story haha) but id love to see Some of the Idols live Ive managed to see Adam Lambert when he came over here but not any of the others.

Interesting, James is not a happy bunny on twitter, hes been on a rant for about 20 mins now, apparently people have been calling him a satanist and slating him for his performance and arrogance last night. I guess its all getting to people now they have got this far

I hate the feeling before a results show when you know your fave is in danger, though tbh it doesnt take me that long to get over it haha. As i say i have James still in there if Paul goes out so im not one of these people that threaten never to watch again cos there faves gone out

Wow bet seeing Adam was amazing! I've always thought that as AI is popular over here, and we can even buy the Idols' studio versions on YT, we should get at least 1 date of their summer tour! That'd be a real adventure for them!

Aw poor James! Stefano had a bit of a rant after the Pia incident, but I didn't hear of him being targeted as personally as it sounds like is happening to James. Not surprised James isn't impressed. I can't deal with constructive criticism well, so goodness knows how I would cope with unconstructive and pointless comments like that! (Probably by giving the culprits a taste of their own medicine, and worse! Haha )

It can take me a while to get over an eliminated contestant, or at least for the attachment to wear off/become less painful. I will definitely be supporting James if Stefano leaves, and I have never, ever resorted to not watching - even when 2 of my faves left consecutively in XF1, leaving my 2 least faves in the final! I can't believe anyone would give up on the show completely. Anyway, wherever Stefano comes now, he'll get good coverage in the final, so if I'm watching that, I'm definitely watching everything in the run up!

Can't wait for tonight's show, but luckily, I don't have to for very long now!

That's really stupid when people act like that. It's so childish. A similar thing happened to me with some of Adam's fans. I've been called every name under the sun by some of them on the internet. My crime? Laughing and joking with him on the three ocassions that I've met him because I'm very tall for a girl and have short (dyed) black hair and blue eyes and he was referring to me as his twin.

Yeah i know, its ridiculous. Twitter is the worst for that im afraid the backbiting and the competition is ridiculous. It got to the point where i have lost 2 very good friends my crime? not going to see him as much! and sticking up for myself with the twitter bullies to which i got told that i was causing problems between my friends and dan cos he could see the arguments. I decided that it wasnt worth the hassle and i dont go and see him anymore.

That's a shame because that means they've won when they're in the wrong.

I know another of Adam's fans who had problems with some fans for different reasons to me and didn't go to see him when he came over the second time, despite having tickets to two or three of the shows, because of comments that were being made about her by others, and the only reason for their bitching is that she isn't a sycophant and speaks her opinion. I told her I thought she was being silly for thinking about not going but she didn't go.

It's such a shame when some people ruin it for others who they would not have had any dealings with before the days of the internet.

I had a few arguments on the Eton Road thread just after they appeared in XF, but they were based around forum discussions rather than the fact I met ER. I'm very volatile as it is, so anything anyone said that I didn't like, I ripped their head off lol! I remember standing up for another poster and ending up being quite personal about someone else, she didn't seem like a particularly friendly poster though, and if I remember rightly, she was friends with another poster who seemed very much like a troll. Myself and that poster had each other banned a couple of times, but luckily, I have more skills now

I wouldn't let an online argument stop me from going to see one of my XF or AI faves. I would just avoid the troublemakers. Because of my partial sight, I'd always have a parent or support worker with me anyway, so it wouldn't be too difficult

Haha we don't this year, but we're doing OK!

Series 1: Rowetta was my favourite, liked everyone but the 2 finalists lol
S2: Liked the underdog Conways lol, no one I really hated though!
S3: Nikitta and ER were my faves
S4: Rhyd was my fav, this was the year I auditioned so I was very interested, couldn't believe the winner was so poor!
S5: Hated JLS prior to live shows, but slotted right on board and am still a huge fan now, even have their duvet now haha!
S6: Thought Joe, Stacey and Lucie were consistently great, and Rikki had loads of unfulfilled potential. (Danyl could be the standout when he wanted to be though!)
S7: No one stood out in a great way to me, so I supported Wagner for the fun of it, but it's the only year I haven't voted so far. My oiverall fav was Hollie Burns from auditions though

entioning Austin, he definitely gave my fave non-JLS performance with his sing off song! He's actually one of the acts I met at boot camp in 2007, was shocked he didn't make it through then! Liked Ruth too, and how she sang in Spanish, as I study Spanish! Would've liked to see more of Karen for the same reason

I liked Danyl and Jamie along with the 4 I mentioned, who I saw as more consistent, apart from maybe Rikki who didn't get the chance to be. Stefano reminds me of a cross between Rikki and Joe actually. The one I really hated vocally was Lloyd, didn't like Rachel or Kandy Rain either.

I did like Storm (think he was quite underrated actually) and Matt, really disliked Rebecca's voice, might sound hypocritical from a Wagner supporter but I liked him for different reasons. Thought Mary and Treyc nad good voices too, but never felt the same attachment to anyone that I have in previous series, or indeed the current AI.....apart from Hollie

How about previous AI faves?

I've got albums by Kelly and Carrie and know quite a lot about past Idols now, but first started regularly watching in Season 5, when Kellie was my fave. Then it was Jordin, one of my all time faves, both the Cookies in Season 7, Arianna in Season 8 but did like Adam and Scott amongst others in the final line up. Supported Siobhan last year, and obviously it's Casey all the way for me this year. Can't stick that Stefano!

Seriously, wish Lauren Turner had made the finals this year!
