I rewatched some of Rhydians performances today and i have to say he is a class apart from Danyl; His songs still give me goosebumps Seriously i forgot about Leona season 3!!!!!!! Although didnt watch it much she was a class apart from the rest of them!

as for previous AI, ive always been in tune with the eventual winners in the main mine have always got to the finale (therefore this is a new experience for me haha) Loved Kelly Clarkson, Carrie etc etc but my all time favorite is Adam Lambert i still cant quite believe Kris Allen won :s

Heres my confession from this season, when i was watching the Top 24 the only one i was rooting to get through was Stefano i was shocked when he was only a wildcard!!! However, from the lives i just adored pauls quirkiness and my love has grown from there.

Rhydian's voice is awesome, he is a showman who proves that it's possible to stay true to oneself whilst displaying versatility. This year's AIers could learn a lot from him

Leona's a good singer but I never had the same connection to her as I did to Nikitta and ER. I would've liked her to have been given more challenges, as I'm sure she could've risen to them

The main years I've been way out in terms of AI (other than liking Arianna, as I did like both finalists. I'll admit Adam deserved to win, but I did like Kris and he looks like my bf ) have been S5 and S9. Hated Taylor's voice, when Kellie left, whoever I half-heartedly backed to win was eliminated that week - the same happened last year actually. Crystal began as a fave of mine, but I grew to dislike her attitude, she seemed to think she was above AI so I questioned wheter or not she should stay in the competition.

Has anything put you off your early fave Stefano? I couldn't believe he was only a wildcard either. When it was down to him and James, I was chanting "Both, both, both!" and I was thrilled when he got a wildcard! Lauren T was my favourite girl, but I really wanted Pia, Karen and Lauren A to make it too, which of course they did

As for Paul, I'll admit I have never been a fan, but give me a few weeks. He's starting to grow on me. I actually think chatting to you is helping it along! Chatting to fans can have a big impact on one's opinion of a contestant!

I totally agree although it didnt take much for me to feel more sympathetic towards Stefano. I think tonight wll be Pauls swansong i really do, but i have the feeling he hasnt taken the competition to seriously, and wants to get back to his band and performing his own songs. One of the video diaries he said that he will enjoy tour more than the show as he has more scope what he sings.

I think Paul went in it for the exposure for him and his band tbh, and he certainly has got that Nothing really put me off Stefano except my love for Paul and the constant worry he was going to go home and Stefano was his nearest rival for that at times. I will support James, and maybe even Stefano id Paul leaves tonight.

Who wouldn't have sympathy for one as cute as Stefano?

Perhaps Paul has a similar attitude to Idol to the attitude Crystal Bowersox had, that its purpose was to act as a stepping stone. He does put it across in a more pleasant way if that is the case though. I'm not surprised he's more comfortable on stage with his band, performing original material. Stefano also writes his own material, as I'm sure some of the others do or could, so although we've not seen a great deal of originality as yet, we may get much more from this year's contestants in the long run

Please do support Stefano if Paul leaves lol, I'll be supporting James too, and if Paul continues to improve, who knows, I may do a JLS-style turnaround with regard to him. It's Haley I want out this week - it will be another woman, but hey. I would settle for Casey too.

Tbh there is only Scotty, Haley and Jacob i cant warm to this season, id be happy with any of the others winning. Nearly D Day time i guess, im not going to watch it live tonight, its a bit of a ritual that me and my mum sit and watch it tomorrow though not sure i will be able to resist peeking at the result on the Idol forums :s may just post a spoiler thread with the result later on, god im nervous!!!! I feel like i felt with Dan on semi final night, and that didnt turn out well

Don't you think he looks like a cross between Richard Hammond and Paul Reynolds?

Not sure what a cross between Richard H and Paul R would look like, but I think Stefano looks more like Joe McElderry actually. What I like about Stefano is his loely smile and great voice!

I can't see the resemblance to Joe. I see a resemblance to David Archuleta.

Haha I am partially sighted! I can see the Archie resemblance though, not quite sure why he reminds me of Joe, perhaps it's the smile again but vocally, he reminds me of a cross between Joe and Rikki from XF6 so that might have influenced me a bit

He's very like Archie, even down to the closing eyes when singing habit.

I wonder why he doesn't seem to share Archie's popularity? I'd say his voice is at least as good!

I'm no Archie fan but I wouldn't say Stefano's voice is anywhere near as good.

He also isn't anywhere near as cute as Archie.

Despite his breathing problems, I'd say Archie has the better voice, plus Archie had a major cute/adorable factor going on - also, Stefano is fighting Scotty for the tween/teen vote, and he's loosing that battle. That vote isn't enough to win the competition, but it will get you deep into it.

Archie was pretty amazing considering he had breathing problems - and I wanted DC to win. I would say Stefano could hold his own against Archie though - perhaps not against DC, as we haven;t seen as much of his capacity as an artist. He does write his own songs though, and it was admirable that he chose to do so for his final performance in Hollywood

Stefano doesn't need to go for tweens and teens. He can go for the support of slightly older girls. I'm 20 and I think he's fab! Girls of my age probably wouldn't fancy Scotty, or wouldn't have fancied Archie at the time, but there's no reason why they can't have a soft spot for Stefano
