From GB, regarding the leakage of information regrding episode 1 :

Mr Moffat had this to say about the leak on Twitter (referring to the leak reaching another spoilery site that didn't have the decency to "hide it in tags"):
"Is that Digital Spy? We can protect Doctor Who from the press more easily than its own fans. Makes me utterly sick."

*retreats to naughty step*

I didn't mean to. Honest

What does that silly man expect when the show's first episodes get aired 2 weeks before hand.

It wasnt you that made the thread here

It is not "US" he is mad at. It is the people that went to the preview and were asked politely not to give the game away

Who subsequently came out and wrote a very detailed run-through of the episode. It is a breach of trust

Say bye bye to all future public previews

In fairness if i had toiled over a 2 part opener to make it as breathtaking as possible and someone had leaked the whole thing i think i would be pretty annoyed.

I just think he is annoyed that it has spoiled it for everyone

The press screenings are ALWAYS that far in advance

The problem is that they were kind enough to think that fans would keep their mouths shut

It wont happen in the future

That's true DGem, and I loved the idea of the previews too. I wouldn't have spoiled the whole thing if it had been me. I would have created my own teasers (I have recently discovered how fun this is to do )

Sorry my mistake, I can see it's a reply not an original tweet

I went last year. And whilst the 11th hour was no where near as spoiler packed as this 2 parter, i had no intention of writing a play by play review.

He should have definitely limited it to part 1 or at the very least made them sign non-disclosure agreements (not that that would have stopped someone with an agenda), but he's not stupid to expect people that care about the show not to friggin ruin it for everyone (though it should be pointed out, it was marked as 'VERY' spoilery and written by someone who's seen it in full, anyone that clicked, knew they were taking a risk).

In essence, he said that it is far easier to keep secrets from the press, but not from the fans who spoil it for themselves. This makes him "utterly sick".

But wouldn't you be mad if you spent ages thinking of a story that expands over 2 series, then spend ages writing that story, take a long time filming it then setting up an advanced screening of these 2 episodes (which is usual to be done a couple of weeks in advanced) then tell them to not tell anyone what happened and then someone reveals specific story details to everyone on a public forum. Yeah I think I'd be a p****d as well. Luckily I'm one of a few who is still yet to know the twist

The only reason he was alerted in the first place was because DS Mods ignored the alerts to the thread (or were slow responding)

Hey, I don't mind a good spoiler now and then, and I am a massive fan of Who, anyone who knows me will tell you that

lol everyone who knows me knows i read EVERY spoiler i can get my grubby little mitts on.

But posting an episode synopsis prior to the program airing. No fair.

Plus the poster was one and the same who put the EPIC bloody spoiler in the title earlier in the week

AND at the wee small hours of the morning when she knew the mods were not on
