I hope people put X Factor behind them and give Katie a chance. I think it is actually a really catchy song!! |

I really love it. then again i loved her on The X Factor...dont read the press/media slating about the contestants....honestly she has such a lovely voice and 80s style. She does reminds me a bit of Madonna Desperately Seeking Susan meets Cyndi Lauper and Freddie Mercury halfway
![]() I wish her all the best too (i did like Matt but Katie was the winner in my eyes )

I actually REALLY like it, although I'm getting faaar more of a 60s vibe from it than an 80s like someone above suggested.
Hope people give it a fair chance. |

When's it out? if it debuted on Youtube 17th March why has it taken so long for it to appear on here? I hope she isn't going to flop.

Oh, so she's taken The Libertine's "shoop shoop de land de lang" from What Katie Did. That's cute with her name.
I think it's aight but it doesn't smell like a hit. Good luck to her though. I think it'd be better appreciated as a 2nd single or album cut. |

I think it's aight but it doesn't smell like a hit. Good luck to her though. I think it'd be better appreciated as a 2nd single or album cut. I love the obvious 50's/60's references but I feel the production is far too hectic and far too polished or "modern"-sounding to convince it's listeners completely. These are only petty things a music pedant would bother looking for; other than that I feel the only thing stopping this from being a hit is the media which, as we all know, is an uphill struggle to win back millions of people she more than shall we say... irritated?... whilst she was on The X Factor. As an end note, I also feel that the vocal processing is unnecessary - I like the vocal refrain and the song's playfulness, but at times it comes across as too saccharine to swallow. By the way, I'm knew here, but kutox knows me as OddOne, or Sidders. :L Both those names were taken so I had to be imaginative.

She sounds like a 7 year old and that's being kind. She cannot sing, that's why she needs these simple songs. It's ghastly.

song has been out for a month (4,295 views only ).Think the Alan Titchmarsh appearance is an attempt to boost things a little - how the hell did she get that gig anyway, due to the apparent lack of popularity.Alot of the female singers seem to be popping up on Alan Titchmarsh show - the older age group market definately seems the most lucrative these days ![]() Don't think she'll catch on somehow.Although the Alan Titchmarsh show seems to be the one of the leading music content shows on the TV at the moment - sad isn't it

I saw her sing it on Alan Titchmarsh and was very pleasantly surprised! Very catchy!
I'll happily buy it! |

A fun, catchy song. I have the melody going round and around in my head now. Very much like The Libertines, but that's good! I like Katie, she's a fun artist.

I hated Katie, but this is not bad at all taking everything into account. Rachel Adedji's debut single was just dire.
