DC4 was better than DC3 or whatever the hell they were when Michelle & Farrah were both there as that certainly wasn't DC4

I saw The Writing's On The Wall & Survivor in town today whilst on my lunch break. Think I might buy them tomorrow.

Are they solid albums?

Never get bored of Destiny's child

Their first album is awful personally
The writing's on the wall is an R&B classic album
Survivor is just as good
Destiny fullfilled divided opinions but it's a solid album

Their GH really sums their career up amazingly but the title of it is misleading.

Didn't realise that they released a video for Nasty Girl

The funny thing is that most DC fans are indifferent towards 'Destiny Fulfilled', but this is pretty much my favorite DC album and the only one that seems to have aged well.'Through With Love', 'If' and 'Lose My Breath' are timeless. And I think that TWOTW is a bit overrated. It's not a classic.'Bills, Bills, Bills' and 'Say My Name' could be classics, but not the whole album, by no means! 'Survivor' had some killer songs, but it also had too many fillers, so not a classic either. They didn't have a classic album for me.

They released a video for the remix definetely and I think there is one for the original as well.

I disagree with you on TWOTW not being a classic, its definetly an RnB classic up there with the likes of TLC's CrazySexyCool & Janet Jacksons The Velvet Rope.

Destinys Fulfilled is ok but very rushed together with no real thought put into its creation imo

TWOTW & Survivor clearly had alot of thought put into them.

I agree that DF lacked cohesion, but TWOTW and Survivor had too many fillers to be considered classic.Imo they aren't classics, even though I own them both and they are not considered classics massively either. Some isolated songs like BBB, SMN and Bootylicious are classics, but not the overall albums. Here is the first place that I see them mentioned as classics.DF flew more easily imo and even though its construction could have been miles better and the material itself could have been greater (hell, even the artwork could have been miles better), it was still very enjoyable. However, DIL was released in 2003 to test the waters about Beyonce's solo career and since it more than worked, Papa Knowles had to find a way to decently end DC to focus on his daughter that would eventually become the spokesperson and the campaign leader for his wife's boutique. What a family! (this is Mathew shade and partly Beyonce shade, so I'm not against the Appreciation Thread rules )
