Casey wants to educate now...fair enough, when you starting then.

Oooooh I'm intrigued. Though not annoyed, cos I don't like her normally, and I wasn't really exppecting her to change that opinion tonight!

I'm so with you

I am so glad Casey brought out his dbl Base again this week

The judges should at least offer some help on where the contestants could go next for their next performance, they aren't learning anything from 'that was so great' every time.

This is a great song, but nothing will ever beat Diana Vickers version of Call Me on week 4 of X Factor uk a few years ago.

Ow! My ears!!

Really really not liking Haley tonight!

Haley looks a bit like that Solomon girl, first name forgotten.

Haley doing Blondie....started off song with a duff note. This song doesn't suit her voice at all, or the studio has the sound down.

3/10 weak voice performance

Not Haley's best performance but I enjoyed it!

I think Hayley got a lot of help from the backing singers on the "Call me" chorus. Not great.

mutters 'Debbie Harry' and flees the thread!

Jennifer's scared to give any bad critique now.
Doesn't she know that negative critique can motivate voters just as much as positive critique can (sometimes even moreso), the public don't just vote how the judges instruct them to.

A face is just another expression one uses for something special.

Oh well I meant in terms of performances on these type of shows. The original is the best of course.

Found Casey's first half rather flat, and his second rather out of tune - ironically, after saying "Hey Ray, let's show hem what we can do!" I felt he was showing us what he couldn't do. I'm not totally against him, but I'm not convinced he warrants being at this stage in the competition.

About 4 out of 10.

PS: Liked the song choice, didn't like the performance much but glad he stuck to his guns and it was more interesting than a Phil Collins tribute. Got to know it because I supported Arianna in Season 8 and she had a version on Youtube. Preferred it to Casey's

Re: Haley, ouch. She actually sounded as if she was ill and being forced to give that performance! I know she sounds similar most weeks but this was a step too far, and I've never liked her voice much as it is. Good to see an upbeat song choice which wasn't cheesy though - and that the judges weren't fawning for once!

2 out of 10.

Anyone else tired of this 'super-sonic-boom' ad, I keep walking around saying that word to myself now. Grrr!

Jacob got told by those mentors.
He seems kind of down this week, hopefully he sticks around because he has alot of potential I think.

God, it's all go tonight, and thought show was finished.

Jacob.....Bridge Over Troubled Water...

What a dull song for him to sing, but glad he changed it to something worth listening to.

Again another over-wrought performance from Jacob! Just ok not great.
The over-praising from the judges tonight is verging on ridiculous.....

Jenny slipping up...she gave Jacob that song...I blame Jenny!

Was it at Morrisons where they are celebrating something.

Interesting, Jacob's original 2 picks and BOTW have all been covered by Rhydian. I think they all work better in Rhyd's classical crossover style though.

Most of Jacob's vocal was good, though nothing outstanding or memorable iMO. Wasn't sure how much I liked the more shouty notes. I would say i liked what he was trying to do, but I don't think he's nailed it yet. I would also say some of the notes in the verses were slightly shaky, but he has a lot of potential.

6.5 out of 10

Come on James!

Jacob started out subdued, & I didn't like the song choice, but he got me with the big notes at the end. My favourite tonight.

Didn't like Jacob. Not sure I'm going to like James doing this song, and he's normally my 2nd fave (after Casey).

Disappointing show all round tonight.

I'm always worried Jacob is going to spontaneously combust.
