You tell them James.

*cringe*

I thought for a second he was going to tell them mentors that they obviously haven't been looking at themselves in the mirror.

James last to perform....hope it's memorable. Give metal a chance he says....ok..giz some metal then. lol

Gosh, it's noisy, and loudest thing I've heard tonight. That guitarist is though.

Interesting performance from James....

8/10, I think

I just saw Zaykk Wilde and genuinely did face.

Last place I ever expected to see him!

I'm sure I played Zaykk Wilde on Guitar Hero! Entertaining perfomance from James but not as good as they are making out....

James - not my thing, but surely he's safe with that kind of crowd pleasing performance.

I think the bottom three will be Stefano, Paul & Casey with Paul going home.

The McCartney loving metal dude

That performance was worth a vote for comedy value.

Interesting views tonight i sat and watched it again (i think i must have a death wish haha) and didnt really change my opinions of anyone tbh. Still thought Scotty was boring, Haley was awful, Casey was a bit weird and serial killerish, Jacob was good, James was loud, Lauren was Joeish, Paul was wonderful (so what i am biased ) and Stefano was no Boyz II Men

B3 still will be Paul, Haley and Stefano with either Stefano or Paul going (Faria hope we have big shoulders to cry on later i think one of us is going to need it )

You could be right Tom - but I think Hayley is in danger too.

This is the second time that James has performed last.
It's been Naima, Jacob, James, Haley, Paul and James.

Why don't Lauren, Scotty, Stefano or Casey get a turn?
*whispers* does that mean that James is the pimped contestant? Yep I'm stirring the pot.

James's vocals weren't perfect, but they weren't going to be, on a song like that. I've always liked him, but he's often been slated for his lack of authenticity. To me, he seemed authentic tonight, and also to be really enjoying himself, which is also important!

7.5/10

Great show! Thought Haley was the weakest, followed by Casey, with Paul still 3rd from bottom, but that's the highest placing I've ever given him!

Is the Pope Catholic?

Apparently he's not doing as well in the voting as many think though and is in danger of not making the top 5. Those who have set this year's agenda will be mortified if he doesn't at least make the final.

I think Haley will be safe as her fans will be panic voting as she was the only one to be criticised and also I can't imagine yet another girl being voted off in a row....

Singing rock is no excuse for dodgy vocals. If you can't do it don't do it.

For me (for you) James' lack of authenticity comes not just from his lack of a suitable voice for rock but also from his homeliness. He has all the element of danger and excitement of Ian Beale.

Very interesting that one, where did you get the information from? Im wondering whether i am so fixed on worrying about Paul that my other pick is more in danger. I wondered whether he was not doing as well and i know on many sites ive seen him poll the lowest since last night that he has been all season. The thing is he is being pimped to the extreme (very much like Cher was on x Factor) but you can only get him so far if the public dont get him.

Id heard that Lauren and Scotty were streaks ahead of anyone else in the voting with the rest interchangeable and any one of them could go

Interesting

PS........ Any chance of more news on Joe's news? You know what I mean.

Hey Lisa, we always have each other.....although whichever of us isn't crying will be celebrating, so not sure how that'll work!

Thought we were being positive though? Haley to go!

Oh, and I liked James standing up for himself. His comments were more appropriate than Jacob's were last week, as they were to do with how he wanted to perform, and not how the public should be voting

HAHA!!! that made me laugh!!!! i have a vision of James in Walford chippy now!!!! You are quite right of course, a good rock singer needs control over his voice something James struggles with at times therefore it become more noise than tune.

For a great rock singer you just need to listen to Axl Rose (evne if he is an idiot), or my personal ever favorite Myles Kennedy (from the band Alter Bridge)

Well James is definitely the one with a story to milk. And boy are they milking it.
So he's not doing well in the voting? Apparently Pia wasn't doing well either. So the question is, who is doing well in the voting?
Lauren and Scotty are the only other ones who have never been in the bottom 3, although I read an article that said they will likely be splitting the country music vote.

That's what I thought last week.

I think Scotty and Lauren are miles ahead with the others changing order due to performance. I think thart Jacob goes from top to bottom at times, james is solid middle of the pack, i think Casey is doing far better than people think and the rest loitering round the bottom (im never ever sure how paul is doing tbh :s)

Paul - Another 'memorable' suit, another forgettable performance.

Lauren - I liked it, especially the first half. I don't think she should've changed the arrangement too much from the original though, that's why I preferred the first half of the performance.

Stefano - Another really cheesy song choice but probably his best performance so far, and one of the best of the night.

Scotty - I wish he stuck with his original song choice. Instead he went with another bland country song. I thought he sang it well though, to give him credit.

Casey - Rubbish. And, contrary to what Randy would say, the problem is not that I don't "get" it, the problem is that Casey is just not a good singer, and is nowhere near artistic or interesting enough to win me over despite that. At least he didn't growl as much this week.

Haley - Not a great performance, at least she seemed to have fun with it. I think she could be in danger even though I hope she's safe.

Jacob - I thought he was good, thought it was ridiculous for Jimmy to tell him to sing that song though, after saying The Impossible Dream was 'too corny'.

James - I liked the performance, but the guitar solo was the best part of it.
