Sky Talk lineline Problems for nearly a week now!! incompetent
I thought I would vent my frustration on the forum with regards to my problems with Sky Talk at the moment. So here goes
Last Friday I phoned skyTalk to report a fault with my landline (really bad hum on the line). The Irish woman spoke too was quick to log my problem and arrange a callout of BT engineer for Saturday morning AM. And call Divert setup to goto my mobile. I thought great quick response, so waiting in on saturday morning (the hottest day of the year here so far). Waited until 11:30 as no show, So i thought I would phone sky, to see where the BT guy was. The response from the Call centre staff was "BT engineers dont work on saturdays", my response was "so I've wasted the whole morning for nothing", to which his response was "you should get out whilst the sunshines" that didnt go down well with me. My home phone would still ring, so the call divert wasn't active on the line. So I don't know whose phoning and these calls are important. Having to phone the "Help Line" on my mobile was costing a fortune I was told I would be called to rearrange the engineer callout, but not a single call to my mobile (which they have listed as my number to contact me on). Emailed Customer service, customer complaints and Broadband (as my broadband is also effected by my line). So upto tuesday night, still no line working or call divert. Was away from home wednesday and was back home today, and surprise surprise phone line not working. So straight on the phone "Help Line" to be on hold for 10minutes on my mobile another waste of time and money, I hung up. By this point the red rag to the bull had appeared. So phoned again 5 minute wait, and got through to an Irish woman again, (probably the same one as last week). And I told her straight away "phone me back because I'm not paying for this call" After a 15 minute call and logging an official complaint about the service, and hearing "I hate this new system" from the CS girl (doesn't bode well with getting my phone working does it). So at the moment still no phone line, no call divert and no calls from customer service or anyone and still complete Incompetence from Sky on this. I know people from sky watch these forums, so please take note, and sort this out. I've been thinking over the last couple of months that I was going to ditch the dish, because all the programs I watch are on freeview, so why am I paying for this that i don't watch, (already pay my TV licence) So with this problem, it is really getting to be the straw that broke the camels back, so forget that I have been a sky customer since the analogue days, I am seriously now considering ditching the phone/TV and Broadband. Thank You |

Thanks And so far it's been 24 hours since my last call to customer service and I still dont have call divert setup or any callback what so ever. I have probably and missed important calls because not everyone has my mobile number to get in contact with me, and this being the 8th!!!! DAY without any resolution, I am seriously considering contacting ofcom and filing a complaint after I spoke to my CAB |
