I follow Colin Baker on Twitter and saw these two upsetting tweets earlier.

I remonstrated with a young man today for throwing an empty bottle out of his car window. He leaped out and threatened to smash my face in.

I have reached a time in my life when I should keep my own counsel. I find it very hard. The world has changed. No one ain't got no class!

It's a disgrace that someone could do this to a gentleman of his age and the 6th Time Lord. I hope he recovers from the shock and isn't clouded by this.

The loveable old bugger.

Why not just nip back in time a few minutes and cement the guy's windows shut? Wha-ha

I follow him on twitter but I never check twitter so thanks for this.

He is more courageous than me, and it's a shame he got attacked.

Good for Colin, pity that there are not more citizens who will not stand up against these mindless thugs.

Well this is precisely the reason why they don't. I for one don't because I'm able-bodied, reasonably healthy and have never been in trouble with the law, and want to stay that way! Well I'd report fights and stuff but I wouldn't put myself in danger just to stop littering.

If more people did, then that kind of reaction would disappear. It may take a while, but worthwhile things are seldom easy.

I fully agree with you. For this reason, I don't challenge anyone (I've only done it once and only out of affect, because a group of students were throwing eggs at our older neighbour's house).

Otherwise, today it's very dangerous to challenge people.

He is my hero, just looked at his twitter, and he was talking about having breakfast with two lovely dustmen.

He is lovely.

That's so him!

Doesn't it make you regret his Doctor didn't have a longer tenure?!

You do know you are talking to his secret stalker, don't you.

He should have been around longer, I agree.

There are very good reasons for not following Mr Baker's courageous lead. Ridiculously lenient penalties for offenders being the prime one. Oh if only I had Davros-like power to inflict pain and suffering on the scum of society ... sorry it's been a tough week

I wonder if his face had been smashed in , when it was fully recovered , would he have looked like Sylvester Mcoy

Crass I know and I'm sorry but I couldn't resist

Seeing the size of Colin , I'd fancy his chances if he was attacked by any sort of moron , even though he is in his sixties. Well done Sir.

Vaughan, I'd edit that first bit before the OP sees it if I were you!
