Haley's and Casey's duet was the best moment of this series, it was FANTASTIC !!! They both deserved the standing ovation at the end of their performance

I adore Casey, so I'm a little bias but I have to admit I haven't liked Haley at all until now.
They both complimented each other well and brought out the best in each other

Not sure if the rumours have reached over here, but it's rife on the American sites that Haley and Casey are an "item", which fueled more speculation last night after Casey told Haley he loved her on stage ..... awww I hope it's true, they look like a cute cpl

I am rooting for Haley and Casey now, and their duet was very good.

I liked Paul but he was inconsistent. I think he got about as far into the competition as he deserved. Sorry to see Haley back in the bottom three. It wasn't her best showing this week but the same can be said of most of the contestants. I'd have hoped she'd garnered enough good will and fans from the previous two week performances. Stefano to go next please.

I think he will, didn't get the bottom 3 bounce, didn't get the goodwill because of the fallout of Pia going and the way he was treated - just doesn't seem to have the support, not even of the tweens, think Scotty's got that (along with the country/southern states vote).

Next week's theme looks interesting. It's a very good chance for some of them to finally sound modern and, excuse the Simon chanelling, relevant finally.

Forget last week, this week's result was truly shocking: America actually got it right!

Erm in your opinion!! In my opinion for 2 weeks running they have got it very wrong!! but you know what, i just wish good luck to the Top 7 and will take Paul going out as well as he did. If anyone wants to see how to take an elimination classily, just watch the last 10 mins of that result show

P.S it was obvious Paul knew he was going anyway, and how come the band started playing Maggie Mae before JLo had even said that was what she wanted him to sing!

Aw shame about Paul but at least Stefano has another supporter on board now!

So Sting finally leaves us, his voice just seemed so thin most of the time.

Stefano must be next, though as we saw last week anything can happen.

Can't help thinking Lauren should have waited another couple of years to develop - she seems to have a core of young girl support that will be hard to shift.

Is it wrong of me to suggest that the judges should get some say in who leaves somehow - maybe the bottom 2 have a sing off and they decide?

I agree re: Lauren. Thia should've waited too, possibly even James. For Lauren, mostly because her vocals are a little inconsistent at times throughout a song, for Thia because she doesn't seem sure of her artistic identity, and for James because he doesn't always seem to realise if he's coming across badly or why, or which songs best suit him.

The judges saved Casey, and I wouldn't say that decision's paid off too well, based on his performances since. They'd definitely have saved Pia over Stefano, so I'm afraid I have to disagree with you. I like Pia, and would save her over most, but not Stefano!

Also, I've heard the Casey/Haley rumour too. I heard the same about David C and KLC in Season 7, despite her having a boyfriend, so it could be nothing, but they would make a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat couple haha!

Amazing how the contestants change over the weeks and months. Haley seems to be so full of confidence now.

I reckon she's hankering after becoming an actress or tv person. Good luck to her.

It is amazing, but I guess unsurprising, how much the contestants change, and its lovely to watch and become attached to them - or not

Haley would be better off as an actress or TV star IMO. Not keen on her voice, but I'm sure she's a nice girl

Not surprised at the result, but disappointed at the whole bottom three.

Up until now, I hadn't really been a fan of Stefano, but his performance this week was by far his best since his wildcard performance, and overall he seems like a thoroughly decent guy, so would like to see him stick around a while longer, but don't know if it'll happen.

I don't know about anyone else but Lauren and (to a greater extent) Scotty bore me to tears, and it's unfortunate they'll sail through to the later stages.

Haley is still my outright favourite (though she wasn't great this week), with Casey now as my second favourite, and their duet was probably the moment of the series for me.

I agree. Haley's trouble is she's just not consistent. Last night she was the worst of the night, in my opinion, but her duet with Casey was outstanding.

At her best, she's better than any of them, I reckon, but she's capable of putting in some really awful performances too.

Jazz, is definitely where she needs to concentrate.

Haley' and Casey's duet sounded average to me, much better than either of their solos though. Hopefully, they will both face the curse of Stefano over the next couple of weeks!

Aww I didn't know Paul had nodules, poor thing. I'm sad he had to go, his headless chicken dance and flowery suits will be missed.

I have to admit Casey and Haley's duet wasn't too bad, there's still something I don't like about her but no matter, Jacob is still my absolute favourite, he's the only one that i really want to hear each week. I couldn't care less about religion tbh but even his "praise the lawd" thing doesn't bother me, i just want to hear the boy sing, although I'd really be surprised if he makes it to the final 3.

After Pia's elimination last week, I was dreading another girl going out, so I was relieved that it was Paul this time. He had already over-stayed his welcome as far as I am concerned. He was the weakest vocalist of the lot and at times was almost whispering. I am sorry that he had throat problems, but that is just bad luck for him - he was not as good as the others. I don't think his song choice this week did him any favours, especially since he was on first.

Glad that Haley, Lauren, James and Jacob are still there. Stefano to go next with any luck. He is a good singer, but there is just something about him that makes me not warm to him. I think he would be better for musicals than for pop.

I try to be honest on the forum, but I don't mind iof people like different contestants to me.

Haley is one of the best hopes of my favourite, Stefano, sticking around for a while longer - wasn't sure he'd get this far either - and I didn't like her last performance much at all, but she does have potential
