I am not sure if anyone watches her show on Sky, i think she is a very good cook and her food always looks great.

Anyway i am really trying to find the big big glass jars she keeps her flour in etc but cant find anything similar.

Please help, sorry i have posted this in wrong section.

Sorry but I have not heard of her. Perhaps she is a US celebrity cook. Glass jars for flour do not sound a great idea to me. Surely they are rather heavy? Best to keep flour in their bags in the cupboard and display other items like spices.

I know the ones you mean - they're about 1 gallon capacity and about 12" high. Have a look at www.shopwiki.com and type in giant glass storage jars, because there are lots on there. I don't think I have seen any in the U.K though.

I quite like her too, and I love it when she'll say 'And I'll use a little butter' but sticks half a pack in the pot!

Any idea why it's called Barefoot Contessa?

The only 'Barefoot Contessa' I know is the 1954 film starring Humphrey Bogart and Ava Gardener.

I love Ina!!

She's called Barefoot Contessa because she bought a Deli with that name and it stuck. She used to be a political analyst to the White House oddly.

I find the butter thing equally hilarious, and I also find it humorous that she measures literally EVERYTHING. When she's seasoning food she'll put a "teaspoon" of salt or whatever, and she actually measures it.

EDIT: More on her here...

My Aunt lives in the USA and app she is fairly popular over there, i had to ask her what half and half is and yes you can buy milk and cream in one carton weird or what lol

I will check that website out, i have bought the cups and spoons she uses.

One thing that annoys me is her laugh at absolutely nothing lol

Love Ina! All her recipes are really good. Especially the coconut cake. Oh oh and the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing!

I just like how every single one of her friends (including her husband) is gay.

That always amuses me too, what a fag hag!

Watching what she cooks, no wonder she has a double chin. She strikes me as a lovely lady, someone who would be a genuine friend, but she doesn't skimp on the fat and cream bless 'er

Her constant smiling and dropping in on old friends with a lasagne or a chicken pie annoys me.

But big glass jars are great for flour if you use a lot, much easier than having half used open bags in the cupboard. I got mine in Debenhams I think.

I've eaten at Paula Deen's restaurant, "The Lady & Sons" in Savannah. It was nothing to write home about TBH, and the whole enterprise is a well oiled tourist trap.

I do like watching Ina, but I'll never try her recipes, they all look so unhealthy. Lots of salt and high in fat.

She's very natural in front of the camera, and likeable, but her food would give you a heart attack.

She is also on Good Food Channel.

I like her, she looks like she has personally tasted all of her dishes. Never trust a skinny chef.

I love The Barefoot Contessa and Ina. Is it now finished? No recent episodes on Uk TV for a long time. I love how all her friends are gay and she caters for the opening of literally everything.

I also like Ina, but what annoys me is her Elvis style collar top she wears, always the same make but different colour, and it's manky the way she cooks in it all day, and then attends the party or whatever in it later on! She must reek...
