Aw Lisa, poor you and poor Paul!

Wasn't intending to do the Spoiler thing, but was ego-surfing to see if anyone had responded to any of my posts that I'd missed!

Obviously I'm thrilled to see Stefano's still around, and that we're now supporting both of the same people, Stefano and James! It is sad though, not just for your sake, but I feel that Paul's been improving while Casey, Haley and to a lesser extent Jacob have been deteriorating.

I'm sure Paul's had all the exposure he needs for what he wants to do though, and he still has the tour to look forward to. Shame none of us Brits can go, eh?

Stefano would sing The Sweetest Goodbye brilliantly, but I don't want all his songs to have defeatist-sounding titles, even if it didn't have a negative effect on him this week lol. I actually reckon it would be better for James to go down the Maroon 5 route this week, with Wake Up Call, and Stefano to do The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved. How's a title like that for fighting talk?

Does Jacob want to prove himself as a current artist? If so, something like Closer by Neyo would be his best bet. Oh, what about Forget You by Cee-Lo Green? My support worker actually thought Jacob was "Filo Brown, you know, the filo pastry man" when he flicked over to AI last week!

Don't think either L.O.V.E or Cry Me A River would be good choices for this week, we've waited long enough for contemporary songs so the last thing wee need is contemporary covers. They do suit the acts they've been suggested for though, and would work on another episode

I'm still waiting for Lauren to sing Can't Fight The Moonlight! Taylor Swift would be good, but would it showcase her vocals enough? I like The Way You Love Me by Faith Hill too, there are 2 versions, a country version and a pop version. Perhaps Lauren could blend the two?

Could Scotty pull off something like Hey There Delilah? Not exactly country, but it's lyrical enough that it could work for him

Casey needs more of a standout song this week, he's always the person I struggle most to pick songs for though. All I can think of atm is How To Save A Life by The Fray, it'd suit his monotonous vocal style.

Oops, nearly forgot Haley. How about she proves she can sing more melodically this week, with something like Warwick Avenue by Duffy? Is that known in America? I know Mercy is, but that'd encourage too much growling and shouting from he

Thankyou Faria I cant be too sad because he told us not to be, he seemed relieved to be out, it was obvious he was struggling with the nodes on his vocal chords (i think hes going to have an operation before tour now) and he went out with a smile on his face

Glad Stefano got through, i was thinking of you when they were the B2 and knew one of us would be upset. Paul didnt go on it to win imo, id go as far as saying he didnt take the show seriously enough (he tweeted once i must stop writing songs and concentrate on this TV thing lol) he went on for exposure and has got that

Then again, look how far Syesha Mercado got after all her B3 appearances. It doesn't matter too much if Stefano doesn't win, look how well Adam's done and how poorly Lee's done,after all. I'd just like him to stick around for as long as possible because I love his voice and enjoy watching his performances! If he comes 3rd, that's OK, because he'll appear in the final anyway, and probably get a solo or att least a high profile duet!

Paul won't be bothered that he didn't win, it's probably for the best if he has vocal nodes. On British shows, it's common that contestants have either had to quit the show or be given a bye for a week because of nodes. Matt Cardle was lucky that his happened towards the end of the series, and when he already had a massive, loyal fanbase. Hope Paul's recovered by the time of the tour!

Aw glad you spared a thought for me! Shame Stefano was B2 and not just B3, especially as Haley sounded so awful IMO. Really glad he's through again though - and able to prove himself as a current artist! Glad you're glad too lol! I'll definitely be rooting for him and James until the end. I think Haley and Jacob's time's running out, but also Casey's.

Re: song choices, looking forward to yours! Already posted a few ideas as you can see, but although I love my choice for Stefano, something more uptempo may be better. Wonder if he could do No Air by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown? Kelly and Carrie are covered all the time but I've not seen Jordin done on the lives yet, love that song to bits and it does work as a solo. Jordin's done it alone live, and I do it at karaoke whenever I get the chance. It could also bring into play the possibility of a Stefano/Jordin duet in the final - which would sound amazing, as long as he doesn't mind looking tiny! He'd love me, as I'm under 5 foot! Haha!

EDIT: Still think No Air would be fab for Stefano, but it's not uptempo at all, is it? Both the choices I wondered about for Jacob are uptempo. Either of them would actually work for Stefano too!

KOL would actually be the perfect compromise for James, it's very mainstream but it's rock enough for him to have fun and feel he's staying true to himself!

Either James or Stefano would do well with a Mika track such as Grace Kelly, if they could de-camp it a bit. Nothing wrong with camp, just not sure it's what those two are going for lol

Paul have confirmed in an interview that his preferred songchoice for next week would have been the Ray Montagne song

HOWEVER the produceers/mentors had insisted he sang James Blunt - Your beautiful (my thought for him) He was not happy with songchoices, wished hed listened to different people.
