Amazon are now doing pre-orders for the dvd of the first part of the next series.

Only a two disc set, so after episodes 1-7 that doesn't leave a lot of space for special features.

I think I'll wait for the complete box set.

EDIT: Saying that though, there wasn't a lot on the s5 box set either.

I agree, I think the box set special features are P*ss poor considering the price they charge for them. I mean for another couple of discs and the full length confidentials I wouldn't mind paying, but for chopped down versions unning less than a third of the length...its ridiculous. I watch my taped versions off BBC3!

Yeah, what is the deal with that anyway? Can't just be music rights since they chop out so much else. (Personally I could do without the music video treatments although the One Foot in the Grave bit was funny.)

These are only the equivalent to the vanilla DVD releases of past years. The proper box set of all the series is apparently out at some point after the second half of the series ends. I always wait for that one, personally.

Price wise, these two DVD sets will work out better value for money than the multiple vanilla discs in past years.
