Might have mentioned this here before somewhere. But I have 2 purple colors, both Laura Paige ones I think, that whenever I've used, they've left my nails stained yellow. This is despite using a base coat too. I'm thinking that it may be a pigment in the color, reacting to my nails. It's a shame really as they are both gorgeous colors.
Kinda like the glittery stuff too much, lol and also just a natural clear polish, just to give my nails a nice shine to them. |

I am so glad other people share my passion for nail varnish!!
I got rid of a lot of mine years ago, but am slowly building up a collection all over again! Im mostly favouring the pastel shades at the moment, and I agree with others with the Rimmel 60 second brand...they are fab! I've got the Barry M Instant Nail Effects polish that cracks and breaks, I think it looks awesome. Where I live, there is nowhere to go to shop for Barry M products sadly though!! |

I liked the crackle polish too.
![]() I just picked up 2 new ones today. Rimmel Pro Finish in Ultra Violet which is a sort of bright, non shimmer candy coloured lilac/violet, and a suede coloured one from Tesco. Lighter than I usually wear but fun for summer. |

Having reread the thread I remembered the wee skull stickers. Tried Superdug but no joy. I'll try another branch next time I'm in town.
SophStar I love BarryM's crackle polish but don't like the ordinary polish, I find it runny and difficult to apply. I put on 4 coats of the white in above pic to get an even finish! The suede coloured one I mentioned above is actually more of a mushroom shade with a slight pinky tone. I haven't tried it yet. Take pics everyone, I want to see your polish! |

If I host pictures on my website to post here do any of you want to look at my remaining stock from Diamond Cosmetics? I need rid of it due to imminent house move and it cluttering up my house! £1.00 a bottle (plus postage)?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ginger_...th/5687565447/ I bought Barry M Mushroom the other day, which I am wearing today. I can't decide if I like it or not - it looks quite classy and subtle, which I don't think is me. I got two compliments about it at work today, and two comments that it didn't suit me at all, so I don't know. I haven't taken a photo yet though. Nooooooooooo! I must not buy any more, must not! It can't hurt to look though, can it? |

Go for it mrs b!
![]() I had a look at yours Elanor, fab! You know I already follow your lunchboxes! I know what you mean about wearing shades you're not used to. I feel the same about the mushroom. It looks good on other folk, don't know if it's me though! I do like the violet in my pic above though, despite it being much lighter than I usually wear. Or maybe I just like the bling I added.

![]() At the moment I'm trying to talk myself out of buying Opi's Y'all Come Back Now Ya Hear - I've already got Barry M Orange, and they look very similar, but still... it's so tempting! |

I love purple! This is much lighter than my others but I quite like how it's a kind of candy colour instead of a shimmery one. I usually wear black, deep reds, purples or blues.
I vote you get lilac, seeing as you don't have any and you already have an orange! ![]() I love this thread. Great fun to chat with other polish addicts! |

Actually it turns out I do have a lilac! Barry M Berry Ice Cream, which I really like, even though it makes my hands look a bit dead.
Today I found a fancy shop in my town, just round the corner from work, with a whole load of China Glaze and Opi varnishes! I got so excited that I had to buy China Glaze Solar Flare (giant gold blingy hexagonal glitter in a clear varnish) and Ruby Pumps (omg! dark red with reddy pink glitter which shines like a crazy thing!) Both look amazing, I can't wait to try them on properly. I also got some fancypants peppermint cuticule oil which smells AMAZING. So that makes 56. Oh dear. |

Maybe it helps to have a good topcoat with Ruby Pumps, I found it made it really shiny, especially in the sun. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ginger_...7625906268881/ I did my toes all gold today: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ginger_...7625906268881/ China Glaze 2030 (which looks cool but is really hard to put on and get smooth, it seems to come out really lumpy!) and then China Glaze Solar Flare on top. |

I have quite a few, I became a bit obsessive when I started a new job where nail varnish was allowed! However, I probably only use 2-3 of them most of the time. My faves are Rimmel 60 Seconds or Nails Inc.

Glad to see that I'm not alone
![]() I paint my nails a different colour pretty much everyday I guess it reflects how exciting my life is! My favourite is Berry M in Shocking Pink, but at the moment I'm wearing 17 in Amaretto a lot.

You have a problem when...like me...you see a colour in the shop, buy it because you MUST have it...then realise you have 1 or 2 of the EXACT shame colour and brand already at home...it's just that you buy so, so many that you can't remember if you've bought it already or not.

And what's REALLY worrying - I've put all my nail varnishes in a spreadsheet so that I can keep track of them all. That's really bad isn't it?

Opi's Tickle My France-y looks nice, that's the sort of shade I was looking for when I bought the mushroomy shade. It's called Barbara Daly's Whimsy. I'm not keen on it on me so if anyone wants a freebie PM me. Bought it about a week ago and only used it once.
