I guess it depends. Maybe not everyone wants to follow/join his friends. Then when people followed on twitter it was still fresh, not so much now. Some like you don't want family and friends to know they're joining...and then my reason - facebook is for my friends and family, I hate groups taking up the updates page and I really can't be bothered trawling through thousands of replies from all those people to see one post from John. It will pick up though I'd imagine
