I don't even find him funny, never mind warm to him as a judge.

Liked Michael and The Hoff on BGT. They made it great fun.

What? He made it more enjoyable. Far from finding him a pleb, I think he's so funny. A lot of his talk of being a novice last night, ie with the buzzer I think was fake.

Totally agree, I like the new format minus Holden. She seems really desperate to stay on - then again I suppose she won't get much else.

Hardly desperate.

I thought he was great and the best judge by far.

LOl OP he's a Million times better than "You make Britain the best country to live in/Your singing makes me proud to be British" Piers.

The only worry I have about the panel is that they're all too nice. Michael McIntyre has admitted that he finds it difficult to buzz or criticise the contestants as he doesn't want to upset them, and the Hoff loves everything. Amanda Holden is generally quite reluctant to be harsh as well, but I have a feeling she's been told by producers to be the Simon this year. She's made a point in interviews about being more critical this year, and that's a good thing because there needs to be a balance, it would be silly if none of the judges ever got serious in their comments.

And on the whole, I love them both, especially Michael - he brings so much fun and warmth to the show that was sorely lacking under the snobbery of Piers Morgan and the arrogance of Simon Cowell.

I can't believe this thread, I thought he was great on BGT. I've been a fan of his for a while, so maybe I'm slightly biased, but even I have to admit that I was initially nervous about him judging on this yeas show. Not that I don't think he's qualified to judge, but it's a big step up to what he's used to.

However, I thought he was very good. he was pretty spot on with his opinions of the contestants and I agreed with him when he pressed his buzzer. He had a warmth about him when talking to the contestants, but also he engaged with the audience which I thought was a welcome change. Especially after Piers and Simon, who gave the impression that they believed they were so much better than the viewing public - especially Piers. Whereas Simon was practically force feeding us the great singers because he could practically see the £ signs in the air above them. Michael hasn't got that to worry about, and he's also come out and said that anyone could judge the show because it's about what appeals to people.

I think he'll get better as the weeks go on, he seemed to take some time to warm up, but he's doing great so far - long may he continue

I have to say, my biggest surprise was the Hoff. I was dreading him on the panel, I've never been a fan of his, but was great and along with Michael bought a fresh of breath air to the panel - I thought I'd miss Simon, but I didn't Glad that Piers never returned though, he was too miserable for a show of this kind.

I love MM as a comedian but someone needs to tell him that he doesn't need to try and be funny all the time. Like when judging a talent show he needs to wipe that annoying permanently smug grin off his face and grow up and stop dicking around trying to get a laugh all the time. He came across like a child that refused to take anything seriously for one second. Constantly making tongue in cheek and sarcastic comments whilst grinning like a Cheshire cat the whole time and not having the bottle to actually voice an honest opinion about anyone. I think this guy has trouble differentuating comedy from light entertainment. I for one am one of the few who actually loved Simon Cowell for his professional honest opinion and unlike MM he may have been arrogant and rude but never came across like an idiot

Loved MM and The Hoff on the panel What a breath of fresh air from the egos and smugness of Cowell and Morgan! Half the time Cowell looked bored and like he didn't want to be there anyway so at least these two have brought some new enthusiasm to the role and I thought MM was quite funny too, so an extra bonus.

I've never really understood why this fella is successful, I don't find him funny in the slightest.

He also wears too much make-up & I don't like his accent, it's annoying.

You don't like him because of his accent? Bloody hell, pipe down Sir Snob of Snobbington. Jesus.

I was really expecting to find him irritating, but that honour fell to the Hoff. I was surprised I actually liked MM.

He was brilliant and far more enjoyable than Simon or Piers and he was very funny and I think he brings something new to the show unlike the untalented Piers and Simon.

I HATE his 'comedy' - I can watch an hour of his stand up totally stony faced; however, I quite liked him on BGT; I think he was OK and a lot better than Piers Moron.

I can't stand him, everytime I see him on tv I want to smash something. So no news here, I just don't watch BGT anymore. Only on here now cause I got a text saying the singing nursery rhyme blokey was great so wanted to check out what people are saying on the forum.

I am guessing from the replys on here that it is not just me who finds him the most annoying person on tv ever.

Rubbish. He's a brilliant comic and it's useful having him for the vote especially the comedians.

It is Hasselhoff who is a waste of space. Last night's show proved it. He hasn't a clue what half of them are saying or doing.

There is no point having an American on as a judge.
