I agree, it's much better suited to this time of year.

Channel 5 came very close to beating ITV1 in the 9pm hour. In addition, The Secret Millionaire was last by some distance among the terrestrials, a bit of a blow for Channel 4 after the first few episodes rated well:

Home Is Where the Heart Is: 2.14m (inc. HD)
CSI Crime Scene Investigation: 2.05m
The Country House Revealed: 1.57m
The Secret Millionaire: 1.35m

Someone at ITV needs to think of original title names for their programmes. You have Countrywise, ala. Countryfile. And then you have Home is Where the Heart Is. Do I recognise those last 4 words from somewhere? I think I do...

That's interesting to see TA didn't dent CSI at all, but knocked about 1m off SM.

From yesterday's broadcasts (including HD).

Breakfast - Ave Aud: 1.692m, Reach: 7.47m
Daybreak - Ave Aud: EDIT 0.874m, Reach: 3.249m
Sunrise - Ave Aud: 0.107m, Reach: 0.563m

Very good rating for The Apprentice. But what is going Wrong With ITV on a Tuesday and What can they do about it. I know that they will have Some Champions League Matches for next season but they will Clash with Eastenders and Holby City so i can't see them doing that great. well at least for the Group Matches Anyway.

Thanks for that. I assume though that the Daybreak average audience is a typo though? 437,000 on a normal weekday is very low.

It was the 10th highest overnight for CSI this series, bringing the overnight series average to 2.02m.

Next week with no Apprentice it has a real shot at coming 2nd in the 9pm slot I think.

Quite right, school boy error on my part, for which I should have looked at when pasting in, analysis tool amusingly takes an average of the average of the channels(sums the total duration of all the programme minutage), as ITV is two channels (HD), when you combine them in said tool it divides by two. My fault though.
So, in correction, that should be 874,000. Reach should not be affected, nor the other channels as they are combined with HD already.

Thanks. I think ITV will be pleased with Daybreak's figures now... well, pleased than what the were as they appear to have creeped up slightly I think on the same position two months ago.

Still behind GMTV though from just over a year ago (Although they maybe slightly artificially increased by the election coverage) :

- http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=3191

Even if Daybreak is only 06:00 to 08:30 and GMTV is from 06:00 to 09:25, the ITV1 share is still lower now from 06:00 to 09:25 compared to last year.

Channel 4 has picked up the rights to the US remake of The Killing according to Variety, wonder if it is for the main channel or More4.

Brilliant stuff for The Apprentice, and I think it caught us all by surprise a little. I didn't personally see why it would be above last series' opener.

Must be the time of year, and also the opposition. IIRC, last year, it kept facing 2 hour dramas on ITV which were hurting it a little. Also, its obviously easier to get press coverage right now - with only BGT competing for attention - than during the autumn against XF, Strictly and IAC.

For anyone wondering how good (crap) the NMA's will do tonight:

2007 - 3.5m (18.3%)
2008 - 2.8m (12.4%)
2010 - 2.8m (13.0%)

Hopefully the main channel so I can watch it in HD. Really annoys me that TGW goes out on More4!

What was the BBC1 competition each year though?

I guess WR will do well, but Life of Riley tanked last week despite the lead-in. NMAs might get a lift around 8.30 therefore.

And the King's Speech Effect may lift it, like it did with the BAFTAs.
