I notice that total viewing now adds up to just 98.4% so the formula used to calculate Other Viewing is still incorrect.

Presumably Other Viewing should actually be 47.4%.

Thanks to MattJ for the BGT rating. Unfortunately the Others, Top 30 chart is not over there, so had to go through manually through all the Multichannel, Top 10 charts to see if anything gets into the above Top 20. Someone shout if I've missed anything.

It's been said before by me but worth saying again that Yesterday's going from strength-to-strength at the moment. Reach up 80% year-on-year, and some strong ratings for programmes such as Catherine Cookson's Tilly Trotter on Sunday 17th April:

Part 1 (3pm): 220,000
Part 2 (4pm): 277,000 (10pm repeat: 191k)
Part 3 (5pm): 398,000 (11pm repeat: 193k)
Part 4 (6pm): 436,000

all figures inc. +1.

Between this and ITV3, there is a clear appetite for classic drama on multichannel TV. You have to wonder why G.O.L.D. went down the comedy only route.

Didn't see it last night but saw reports it was basically the telling of a true story, so not sure if there is potential for more. ITV though deservedly rewarded for putting a new drama out over Easter. With the exception of Doctor Who, BBC1 hasn't had a single new drama in primetime since last Tuesday.

Why on earth ITV play Daybreak over the Bank Holidays I don't know - surely cheaper to stick CITV in the slot as they did at Christmas.

LOL - the BBC managed to find something worse than Daybreak!

I don't think 6m for a Bank Holiday Monday drama with Corrie lead-in and weak non-drama BBC1 competition, really merits a "wow" and a "super".

But I don't deny it's a very good figure, for the reasons rzt cites.”

Mmmmm.... yes you do. If it was two million lower on BBC1 you'd be singing it's praises.

What - you spend half the year moaning about people adding the figure of an ITV screening one hour later and now you're collecting figures four months apart.

BBC3 though showing the appetite for such movies on Bank Holidays - people want something a bit different on such days, yet on BBC1 the only day in the last 12 months the primetime schedule has been changed from the norm was Christmas Day - and even that was just their default Christmas Day schedule.

There's already a higher rating Ford Football Special in there.

I know. Super Sunday, MNF and Football Special are separate programmes and have always been classified as such in this table.

Indeed MNF was in the table until very recently and has only just dropped out as it slipped below 20th place.

mlt11 is right and I'll put that in next week - apologies. I guess you could argue I should have put all the Sky football coverage under one banner, but technically they are several separate shows. I do think the Sky/football is a 'special case' for the mutichannel tables but some may disagree with me there.

Although I will still compile the Top 20 charts as it is interesting to see how the lists develop over the year.

Fair enough I guess. Although for me one EPL game per table would be sufficient, otherwise where do you draw the line? Sky could code all the games differently and the chart could get taken over by football.

But come on, people aren't tuning in for that. They are tuning in for the live football. If you were to strip out all the buildup and post-match stuff for both, the other EPL game would still be higher.

So as far as I'm concerned the top rated Premier League game on Sky Sports and the only one worthy of inclusion was Chelsea v United back in March. Liverpool v Man City wouldn't make my chart as well just because it aired on a Monday and was branded differently.

Perhaps if you were that fussed about watching BBC drama you could have tuned into BBC2 on Easter Sunday to watch their £2m, dramatisation of the Munich plane disaster?

Or do you not have BBC2 on your TV?

IMO a ratings list should have 1 game from each competiton. Just because the presenter wears a different tie or the theme music is at a different pitch doesnt mean two EPL games should be counted as separate entries.

I hope you remember to Praise BBC1 in the Summer when the situation is reversed.

I understand what you are saying and agree it would be idiotic for every match to be coded differently.

However the point is that there are 3 (and only 3) distinct EPL progammes - ie SS, MNF and FS and that has always been the case (except obviously when Sky had no Monday rights).

D.M.N. has always been 100% consistent in how he produces the table. He has always done it this way; he is right to do so and I don't recall any complaints in the past.

It's a pity as he missed the critically acailmed The Crimson, Petal and The White on BBC 2 as well
It's no Hollyoaks though so Brekkie wouldn't like it.

Its not as if Daybroke's ratings are much better on non Bank holidays

I'm not suprised EastEnders is among the top multichannels. There's been a massive increase in the multichannel ratings, recently. Let's just hope we can do even more with the first showing.

does anyone know - if bbc scotland didn't show this til 10pm instead of 9pm - would this figure of 1m already incorporte the timeshifted bbc scotland viewers - or is it low and would be more if scottish viewers are added? how do regional opt outs work in overnight ratings?

The 1m includes everyone who watched BBC2 between 9-10pm. So it includes the Scottish opt-out, but it does not include the number who watched 'Arena' in Scotland at 10pm, if that makes sense.

think i understand - its a bit of a false figure then if it includes people who were watching something else!

and it was actually 90 mins - not 60 mins - that ruth jones prog started at 10.30 not 10pm

I'm assuming football won't interrupt Extreme Fishing, Impossible's been advertised a lot, there is also the awful sounding There's Something About Josie on Mondays after HI which I hope flops.

The Suspicions of Mr Whicher did well and could come back as a series, I imagine Case Sensitive is being eyed as a potential series should the one-off do well.

I think the football is done on Thursdays after the 5th (2nd leg of the semi-finals) as the final is due to take place on Wednesday 18th. So there will be no interruptions to any of these programmes.

Impossible is being pushed a hell of a lot, including some prime spots during The Walking Dead on Sunday. It looks good, and it's a really different format for the channel so I hope it works for them.

There's Something About Josie is bizarrely scheduled after The Hotel Inspector and it's against E4's answer to The Only Way is Essex called Made in Chelsea, so I can't see it performing well there at all. I doubt though that it was commissioned with huge ratings in mind, but rather to sustain some kind of interest in Big Brother until the programme's return in August. Will it be any worse than the Kerry Katona and Katie Price programmes on ITV2 and Sky Living? Doubt it. Should Channel 5 be aiming higher? Definitely.

Given the success of magic shows like The Magicians and Penn and Teller, it'll be interesting how Impossible does given the channel's mixed success with entertainment,
