Digital Stream Twin HD Tuner Digital recorder
Bought this new from a reputable store in London last week.
Rather disappointed with it as it keeps freezing and can only be resored by unplugging from the mains and, after a few minutes, replugging it. Picture HD pics very clear but liable to break up - guess due to the CP transmiiter being on very low power until about this time next year when, I believe, it's boosted 20 times? Should I return it for another of the same model or change it for a better recommended manufacturer? Any advice please? |

I receive HD from CP in Berkshire without break up so might need to look at your aeriel etc
unfortunately all these PVR boxes have their own different sets of issues - might be worth checking you have the latest firmware, which might mean waiting for an over the air update or may be via USB stick check on AVforums for a specialist thread about that specfic PVR |

Extensive thread there at AV Forums about the DS, including some issues with HD from CP transmitter. Your problems are probably down to interference from another transmitter, and might require you to do a manual channel scan. You may also be on the fringe of HD reception from CP. Post in that thread, as there are one or two others on CP who had the same issues. |

The Digital Stream is one of the best rated Freeview+HD recorders, and it's certainly a reliable model (have one myself).
But if yours is continually freezing, then you might have a bad unit, and will need to return it. |
