QED XT Evolution speaker cable
Can anyone inform me the best way to connect this cable, it seems to have multi conductors that are insulated from each other within the outer protector.
I am going to use 4mm gold banana speaker plugs which have two terminal srews offset in them to clamp the cable, should I remove the inner insulation so that all conductors are together in the banana plug. I know that QED recommend that you use there airloc plug but these are pricey but I suppose they may allow for the internal insulation. |

There is no point to strands being insulated from each other within the wire, you have to remove insulation before you can attach to the terminals anyways. Sounds a bit like speaker wire voodoo.

Follow the pictures in this link and I'd also suggest removing the inner plastic core as if you were going to use the cable bare with binding posts.

Yea looking at those pictures those are definitely voodoo features, and yes you basically have to snip your way past the bs to attach the post, which only goes to show it is a normal cable with useless fluff shoved into it
