Smashed iPhone 4 back

My wife was away in the Lake District last week and fell and smashed the back of her iPhone 4. So this weekend we booked an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Norwich Apple Store. Went straight in, £25 and 5 minutes later the phone was good as new. She also purchased a case so it shouldn't happen again.

I am just really impressed with the customer service.

Am I missing something or did they just SELL you an inexpensive spare part for £25? Impressive customer service would be telling you that it was complimentary!

Lucky you.

I bought an iPhone 4 for £600. I opened it up, set it up and found a pink dot on the screen which I discovered was a dead pixel.

I contacted Apple and they sent out the packaging I needed to send it back to them. I enclosed with the phone a nice, friendly letter saying how grateful I was their time etc and I even resisted stealing those little sim opening things they send out.

A week later, the same iPhone with the same problem was returned - no personal message, no note from the technicians, nothing - just some pre-typed letter saying that the phone was up to code, which it clearly wasn't.

I phoned them, they said they found nothing wrong and if it was already checked, nothing can be done.

Unhappy customer.

Indeed I broke the bumper on my iPhone and took it into the Apple store and they replaced it free of charge, with no receipt.

I had a tiny dead pixel in the corner, T-Mobile(my network then) told me to go to the Apple Store, i did that, was out in 15 minutes with a new phone, no hassle at all, they just looked at the pixel and swapped it for me!
