I hope we get a new family that is unconnected to any character past/present.

Am I the only one who finds it annoying how all the family units in Eastenders are mix matched.

They need to introduce a new family so it doesnt feel like a been there, done that, got the t-shirt, kind of feeling.

I don't mind having more Moons but it does seem that EastEnders can't invent a new family without them having to have some form of link to the Square i'e The Slaters where Big Mo already knew Pat from years gone by...

I agree with the other poster as well, you really do have to have the shirt to prove you have a reason to live on that square. You can't just decide to live there, you have to have a reason for it!

Who cares if they have links or not? It's hardly the end of the world.

Well their isn't any fault with anybody having links because in some cases it's minor links but it's just a bit annoying that they can't invent fresh characters without them having to be a sidekick for somebody else etc

Sharon Marshall just confirmed they are still auditioning but they will be a big clan. Mentioned all the names listed.

So Danny Young, Matt Willis, Gary Lucy, Ben Richards and Lynda Bellingham must have all had auditions afterall and not just newspaper gossip.

Interesting. Gary is the only one I would like to see on EE though.

This is the risk. I wish they had been a fresh family with no connections.

I want a new family too. I know they can be hit and miss but unless you try you won't know. I think having a new pack of Moons is the easier option. ALthough it has me heading for the remote to switch over.

It is a new family - It's no difference to what DS did, adding to the already there family(He bought in Brannings & Mitchell's)

So has Lynda Bellingham auditioned for the role of David Essex's character's wife or is he divorced?

It will be refreshing if she is his wife and mother to the kids. When was the last time EE actually brought a couple into the show intact? we're probably talking Max & Tanya which was 2006.

Well if its new moons its not really a new family just an extension but i dont mind if there are new moons just as long as there good characters that bring something to the table in EE but seeing a fresh new family in EE would be nice also!

You don't think James Sutton will turn out to be part of them do you? I haven't seen his name mentioned but he is a fave of Krikwood because of Hollyoaks and he only recently left Emmerdale.

Were the Masood's not introduced with no ties to anyone?
A new family will be good, they need a mix up and a little bit of lightheartedness
