No Deal
Hi Guy's. I wonder if someone can help me? Having had my Foxsat HDR box for a few days now, I have managed to cope very well with the cramped layout of the controler, but there is one thing that has me stumped. I have only one program set up for recording the whole series. Chan 4's Deal or No Deal. It all works fine, but I now have a long list of watched episodes and am baffled as to how I can delete the watched episodes without deleting the parent program. I can list the whole line up, but see no way to delete them one by one. Can anyone point me to the way of doing this as eventually they will fill the hard drive. Many thanks for all and any help. Regards Walt.

I When I get to the end of a playing recorded program Media > OK > Delete will delete with the minimun number of key presses. Deletes can also be done via the filemanger. |

Press media, move to the episode you want to delete, press OK, delete is the 3rd option.
To delete them all in one go, press media and open the folder containing the episodes. Press opt+ and choose file manager. Press yellow to enter edit mode. Press OK on the episodes you want to delete to set a tick. (OK toggles selection on/off). When you have selected them all press red to delete |

Hi,
If I understand you correctly all you want to do is delete watched programes, without loosing the series link. On remote control select 'media'. Scroll down to programe folder, press 'OK'. This will show all progs recorded. Scroll to prog to be deleted, press 'OK'. menu appears, scroll to 'delete a file', press 'OK' File will delete, without changing anything else. Regards. |

There are several ways - but the simplest is to select it in the same way as if you were going to play one program - You will see a popup menu - In the list there is also a delete option.
I When I get to the end of a playing recorded program Media > OK > Delete will delete with the minimun number of key presses. Deletes can also be done via the filemanger.

You don't have to stop playback to initiate the delete.
You can switch the box to standby without waiting for the delete - it will drop into standby when it's finished.
|

Wow! You guy's are fantastic. No kidding. Ok, so I followed the instructions (tried several in fact) and yes, they work great. I'm more than happy now, being able to delete those watched episodes before they filled my hard drive. Going to record a few films tonight, safe in the knowledge that I can delete them afterwards. Thanks a million guy's. Mr best regards to you all.Walt.
