Favourite SAW Albums?
I've been enjoying all the favourite album threads so I thought we might as well have another.
Let's be honest, SAW were (mostly) a bit crap, but they did occasionally produce a little gem. 1) - Donna Summer - Another Place & Time 2) - Mel & Kim - FLM 3) - Bananarama - Wow 4) - Sonia - Everybody Knows 5) - Kylie - Enjoy Yourself Any more you can think of? |

rhythm of love - kylie minogue. that was saw at their peak creatively! that was so good. ok, they didn't produce all the tracks on that album. however the singles `better the devil you know`, `what do i have to do` , `shocked` were all beyond brilliant!
One I've discovered recently is Princess's self titled debut from 1986. Say I'm you're Number One, I'll Keep On Loving You, and After The Love Has Gone are some of the best tracks they did imo. |

I was just about to suggest that. Several of the tracks were written and produced by Stephen Bray who did the likes of into The Groove for Madonna. As you say though the SAW stuff on there was some of their best.

yeah, these tracks were soulful. pretty credible stuff actually. i also love the work they did with lonnie gordon. i think these tracks were meant for donna`s follow up album to `another time and place`. however, that didn't happen.

You're right, 'Happening all over again' was going to be the lead single off Donna's second SAW album, but they had a massive falling out so most of the songs were give to Lonnie.

I absolutely LOVE "Another Place & Time" by Donna summer. I wish she had recorded another album with them. |

rhythm of love was new and fresh for saw and they never out done it, it was also a huge turning point in kylie;s career and i think had kylie not gone down that road at the time her career may not be what it is today.

what do i have to do is such a good song as well. remember dannii in the video for like 1 second? it also continue the progessiom. shocked, another classic! however, word is out, not a good follow up. beginning of the end of her time at pwl! apart from finer feelings, i think she should have left after the third album! |

1.Sonia - Everybody Knows
2.Mel & Kim - F.L.M 3.Donna Summer - Another Place & Time ^^ No need to skip past any track, as every track on each of those albums is single worthy ! |

Jason Donovan between the lines was a pretyy decent saw album aswell. |

At the time i wasnt a huge fan of word is out but was so disapointed it didnt make top 10 as it was her first single not to do so, however over the years i have grown to love the song. Finer feelings never truly gelled with me and i rarely listen to it, lets get to it was a poor follow up to rhythm of love but im still glad she made the album. She was right to leave saw at that time, i remember thinking she was crazy for doing so at the time but i was only about 14, now i fully know why she did, if she hadnt we would have never got some of the brilliant kylie albums we have today.
Jason Donovan between the lines was a pretyy decent saw album aswell. i was a bit older when she finally left pwl and was excited by her contract with deconstruction. however, i felt pretty disappointed by km94! |
