HMs decide it's an Endemol helicopter, sounds like it's landing outside the house.

Nice chatting guys, have fun! I'll be back later but my dog is giving me increasingly dirty looks and has taken to sighing when she sees me go to the computer!

I was born and raised in Dundee, Scotland, but my mother is from the Midlands...does that mean for 45yrs I have been living under the wrong nationality???

That's what I thought, although I'd say the accent comes more from her time at boarding school than Hampshire (Sister lives in Hampshire, my nephews sound nothing like Shell).

That is quite correct....she moved when she was 12 , which is also the last time she seen her father.

Okay, folks, having spent a highly productive day at work today (NOT!), I am off home now.

Catch you all later.

I don't have a telly in the same room a the pc (deliberately - my daughter pointed out that I would only ever stay in one room if I did!), so I won't be online during the programmes, but will no doubt log in here at some stage to add to my postings list and irritate some more people

Hope Dan wins!!

Helicopter has a BB eye on it, and a camera, and is still hovering over the house. We're even getting shots of it on the feed.

No idea where my accent came from - mum from Wales, dad from Kent, and I was born and brought up in Kent and went to the local comprehensive.

WHATM:

The helicopter's still circling.

Well obviously its not a "farmery" Hampshire accent, but it's hampshire nonetheless. Even extremely unposh people talk that that here (if they haven't opted for the farmery one for street cred purposes)

Nephews don't have a "farmery" accent either, more of a very toned down South London accent. Although pre-school they had Scottish accents as their father was Scottish and they all lived with his parents (in Hampshire) at that time. Guess it just depends where in Hampshire you are.

VoR

WHATM - Nadia packing her case. How does she fit all those clothes in? I want one of them magic cases too! (VoR stamps foot petulantly)

i lived in Hampshire for many years but I don't speak like that, that is from either a boarding school or by having posh friends as my 18 year old daughter has changed the way she speaks as she has posh friends and is hoping to go to uni this year if she gets her A levels, and 4 A levels at that, hope she turns out more intelligent than Stu!!!!

He's gone again - armed with my printer - I think to do a bit of fiddling with the "new" one that he's just bought (same as mine) & that doesn't work properly

Now hubby will be home soon & I've got to persuade him that a chippy tea would be just right for tonight - oh, & while we're out a couple of bottles of wine wouldn't go amiss

In between son's 2 visits the doorbell rang - I thought it was my son & opened the door - only to be greeted by some bloke trying to persuade me to return to British Gas (I was still in my PJs from this morning - a pink top complete with winnie-the-pooh transfer & washed out blue bottoms) - he soon got the message that it was the last day of BB - SOD OFF
