I am looking to get a 32" LED TV to hook up to my forthcoming SkyHD multiroom box. LED gives me the slim panel I need to wall mount in quite a small room. However, most TVs seem to have the socketry mounted on the back plane with the socket axis perpendicular to the screen, so conventional plugs prevent the use of a mount that sets the TV really close to the wall. I have used 90 degree connectors on another set but wondered if anyone knew of a TV of this size (I neither want nor need bigger - so Mrs Blink tells me!) where the main sockets are parallel to the screen (so the plugs fit from the side or below. I do need a PC connection (analogue or digital) and I have not seen one with a 90 degree plug. Other connections will only be HDMI and aerial.

I shall, of course vist my local shops etc, but sheer laziness and the known willingness of DS folk to help prompts me to ask this question

My Samsung 37" (LED lit) has the sockets positioned as you require. I believe all the Samsung range are like that.

Some Sony ones have the sockets sideways, but you need to check specific models.

wall mounts have spacers to set the screen away from the wall, to allow for cable insertion - but as you say - it defeats the object of a slim screen somewhat. - although its only about an inch, say.

all done! Samsung UE32C5800 (<£400) TV now fitted, slightly angled down and the max distance between the front of the TV and wall is <45mm. Now waiting for Sky to bring the HD box tomorrow. Just wondering which of the TWO new cards they have sent will be used for my single multiroom installation
