We've just got a multi-bag of Walker's Crinkles Simply Sea Salted flavour.
There's a slightly odd flavour to them - my missus is getting a slightly 'bacony' flavour, but I'm tasting a hint of ice-cream wafer vanilla.
It's one of those flavours that you can only detect as you put the crisp in your mouth - it disappears when you start crunching.
Has anyone else noticed this or should I get out more?

I didn't taste a weird flavour, but I found them very greasy so that put me off.

I tried the cheese and onion today andthey didn't have a strange taste. However I wasn't keen on them at all - they didn't have the Walkers cheese and onion taste I am used to so I don't think I will be buying another multipack of them. I haven't opened the ready salted ones yet I'll give my opinion on them when I have tried them.

I wanted the walkers normal c & o flavour, nothing against how the crinklies tasted, just not what I wanted

I tried the S&V the other week and they were quite nice. They were a soft/light crinkle crisp in flavour and texture, not like Seabrooks or McCoys.

I had another packet today and noticed that they are described as cheddar and onion which is probably why they taste different to the normal cheese and onion flavour. The crinkle flavour is not to my taste at all, I prefer the normal ones.

Totally agree, Seabrook's cheese and onion are beautiful, I can easily eat the big share bags in one sitting, they are so addictive.

Honestly? These tasted cheap.

Give me a bag of these with my eyes closed, I'd say Poundland.. This is not what Walkers need to do... Rubbish, greasy broken-up crisps...? No. Leave them to the rest.. You're steering to close too Fritolay.

If I can stop any of my friends or family buying these, I will...

Is that what you wanted Walkers?

AWFUL AVOID!!!

Tried the salted ones yesterday and really enjoyed them. They actually just tasted like seabrookes in my opinion.

Loved the S&V and the salted, but the cheese and onion very heavy on cheese and hardly any onion flavour which put me off. I agree they are very similar to seabrooks

I thought the texture and flavour was a lot softer than Seabrooks

Anyone else noticed that there's only a few crisps in each bag it's like not even half full.

Mine too, I can easily get through share bags in one sitting, I try to limit the amount I buy for this very reason.

Yes, they are very good aren't they.

Now if only they could do an extra mature Cheddar and pickled onion flavour..

I'm not overly keen on them. I have tried the S&V flavour - the flavour is OK but I don't like the crisp itself, it has a weird texture.
