Hi there,
I am new to the forum and hope that someone may be able to help me out.
I bought a Samsung 40 LED Ultra Slim UE40B8000 almost a year ago (£1,499) and was totally happy with it until my youngest son threw a toy at the screen and have been told that its beyond repair. Here's the thing, my insurance company are offering me a Samsung 40 LED Ultra Slim
3D UE40D6100 in its place, which is currently selling for around 750, I also understand that this is an old model and has been discontinued. I can still find the UE40B8000 for sale, for around the same price as I paid for it a year ago, and I am arguing with the insurers that I want the same TV as a replacement. Their argument is that the UE40D6100 is a similar spec as my old TV. I have had a look at the specs as much as I can and cannot actually see difference but I cannot understand why there is still such a difference in price between the two models. I dont want to accept an inferior replacement.
Could someone maybe send me the full specs or enlighten me as to what the differences actually between the two models which justifys the price difference.
