My son has purchased a Foxsat-HDR, at my recommendation, as he is in a very poor Freeview reception area.

Overall he is very pleased with it apart from the niggle that he can't get the universal remote feasture to work.

After pressing the TV button and entering any of the 3 digit codes from the manual the button does not blink twice as suggested in the manual, after entering the third digit. The remote does not seem to accept any code

I can't find any reference to this problem on this or any other forum. Is anyone else aware of this as a problem or is it more likely just a faulty remote control?

3-digit codes? My manual has 4-digit codes.

Is he just pressing the TV button or pressing and holding it for three seconds until the button lights up?

Many thanks to all who replied.

My son was supplied with the ADB 1.0 remote, which requires 4digit codes, but with a manual which lists 3 digit codes.

Fortunately the Humax online manual has the 4 digit codes and the universal remote is now working.

I bought a Foxsat HDR a couple of weeks ago, and experienced exactly the same problem as the original poster. It seems Humax are making a habit of shipping the wrong manual. They also seem to have shipped me a 500 GB version, though I ordered a 320 GB and it says 320 GB on the box. So I'm not complaining!

Anyway, thanks for posting the solution.
