reassign Normal TV channels to DTV
Hi, this has probably been asked before but now that analogue has gone, 1 to 5 on my samsung remote are redundant so my question is,
is it possible to re-assign these channel to go straight to DTV channels? |

WTF?
If you have a Samsung TV with a digital tuner, try rescanning. Samsungs normally assign two sets of 1-5 to the analogue and digital versions of those channels. This results in you having to make sure to press those buttons only once or you switch between modes. Without an analogue station tuned in, that should not happen. |

after DSO channels 1 to 5 are on er, channels 1 to 5.
So what's the issue? With digital tv's you don't have to type all 3 digits of a channel number, just type "1" and wait and it will go to channel 1. |

Some of us nearer the UK Capital have not had DSO yet Dave
![]() Hence the analogues in this fine 80F weather keep flooding in on analogue.. I got 17 instead of 5 yesterday and my Yagi is as good as they get.. I believe Nigel quotes 70 in places.. Stan |

Well the OP says "now that analogue has gone" suggests he has just gone through DSO. But he doesn't give his location, so we are guessing.

But maybe picking up unwanted analouge from another transmitter that has not gone through DSO, or picking up further afield transmitters? |

Perhaps the OP doesn't have a digital tuner in their TV, but was hoping they could use the TV remote to change channels on their digibox?
Not impossible if you had a Samsung (or compatible) digibox which recognized the TV remote. But it would most likely just change the TV away from the scart input? |
