Returning a lost phone ... help!

Hey!

So I'll you tell you what it is.
My friend found a lovely Blackberry phone the other day while walking home and we are trying to find a way to return to its owner.

We've tried starting up the phone to call somebody in the phonebook but the phone has a PIN Number. We hoped a IMEI look up might give us a phone number to search for on Facebook or something but again, nothing.

We have the IMEI and a PIN (factory PIN?) but apart from that we have nothing.

There are texts and missed calls on the screen so we think they are looking for it but can't get to them! Lol.

Thanks for any help!

I doubt you're going to find a way to unlock it to call them but feel free to correct me.

If all else fails, drop it into the nearest police station. I know that's where I'd go looking for my phone in the hope someone handed it in.

That is what we thought! Lol.
Gonna try putting the SIM from the found phone into one of ours to see if we can get to their contacts. If not, police station tomorrow

Thanks!!

Can you not just wait for it to ring, answer it and tell whoever it is that you've got the phone and will return it?

Not sure about this cant you phone the network the phone is on tell them you found it. Plus most sim used to have the phone number on maybe you could check give then this they should be able to check who number belongs to and contact them or have you send phone to them. Just a thought.

Please tell me you found it in Nottingham ha I lost mine there the other day!
When I lost mine I blocked the number so no one could ring it if they wanted to anyway
I would hand it in at the Police station as I would of thought whoever lost it would of reported it and the Police can trace it through the IMEI
