There has been a lot of speculation about how the Silence put the idea of her being pregnant in her (kind of like the angels made her think her hand was stone), this would make sense seeing as rigt after the Doctor said "you've put on a couple of pounds" she looks at a silent.

The attempt to shag the Doctor the night before the wedding was after Amy had been through a very traumatic experience when she was blind and in danger from Weeping Angels and wholly reliant on the Doctor. It's understandable that she wouldn't behave normally.

Last night's episode really brought out the more caring side to Amy as we saw her struggle to deal with the Doctor's death. Loved the fact that The Big Bang essentially addressed why she was slightly different, in a way, and now, no longer damaged by the time crack in her wall and having her 'proper' life restored, ie, one with her mum and dad present, she seems easier to identify with and seems a little more reserved now...

Truly brilliant characterisation by The Moff - the reason Amy's my favourite companion so far! (Although, she's joint with Rory and River - seriously love them all! )

alongside Sarah Jane....she is the best companion i truly feel (well alongside Rory of course and RIver Song) but honestly the cast on the show and the characters i genuinely FEEL for.

I mean when she cried her eyes out when the doctor "died" lest night i was touched....first i was like WTF at the scene in awe of it and then touched. Not to mention the fact that she can hold her own against a terrifying Silence! she has developed so much across the series....she is a remarkable person.

Actually this is quite a sexist and naive thread. Women do like sex, and if you get married you might have nerves and you might want to have a last experience before you fully commit. I also agree with the posters who talk about traumatic experiences. Women also drink alcohol (yes shock, horror). Well maybe not in in a nun convent, although I'm sure even nuns are more progressive than that.

Additionally, slightly sipping on one glass of wine, is hardly knocking it back (maybe she was still keeping it secret, and thus didn't want to refuse the wine; alternatively as some others have said, there is something wrong with this whole pregnancy stuff and the drinking of the wine is a vital clue).
