I meant my comment to further back up your statement, not against it
![]() I do disagree on them creating some great pop songs though, I've always found Oasis's rather turgid. The reason I dislike The Beatles and Oasis comparison is that The Beatles (nearly) always had a great sense of melody, Oasis on the other hand to me is just bluster. ![]() its the early material of oasis i like, im not fussed on anything this side of 97, except 'the importance of being idle', and the track used for the royle family... |

Oasis aren't even the most influencial band of the 90's, hell they aren't even the most influencial band of their genre.
Oasis's 90's material was excellent but they went downhill and neither Noel or Liam have had good solo material |

Oasis - Way too many to pick from, I find I like newly discovered songs of theirs every few months! Elvis - "A Little Less Conversation", "Hound Dog" and "Love Me Tender." Beatles - "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" |

Who wouldn't have even happened if it wasn't for The Beatles...one very good album does not make a band the best.

Based on the versions with the Royal Philaharmonic Ochestra alone, Burning Love and If I Can Dream are the best songs by any of these artists
