Help! Re Freeview and my digital recorder
himerus

I record programmes from Freeview on to my Panasonic digital recorder but I have somehow acquired a rogue programme entitled "Uncorked" which constantly records material I haven't programmed. It seems almost like a virus and I can't locate it on the guide to cancel it. Can anyone help?

Try a hard reset to return the recorder to its factory default settings. That should clear the timer list completely. Do make sure to note down the existing timer record settings though so you can reload them after.

Factory reset: From standby > Power ON and allow the unit to boot up completely > Hold down both the CH up and CH down buttons at the same time for a minimum of 10 seconds. The player should switch itself off as part of the reset process.

Your recorder may be different, so look through the manual and check online for your specific model.

If you read your manual you'll find it says something like...
Quote:
“
All the settings except for the ratings level, ratings password and
clock settings return to the factory preset. The timer recording
programmes are also cancelled.
”

Doesn't say anything about erasing the disc.
