John James is called to the diary room to compete in the I Spy task. Sam tells Josie he thinks he has definitely won. He leaves the room and she shuts her eyes and sucks her thumb – trying to get some rest and peace and quiet. Shortly after John returns from the diary room and as he passes through the living room – Sam teases him about 'getting angry now' again!

JOHN: I AM getting angry now!!

John comes back in and sits the other side of the single bed. He wants to pick up the conversation right from where they left off and Josie doesn't.

JOHN: Yeah so .. obviously you were concerned about it ..
JOSIE: All I can smell is garlic.
JOHN: It's not garlic; it's that other s**t!
JOSIE: Yeah, it is. It's garlic.

A prime example of Josie wanting to change the conversation as she doesn't wish to continue with the discussion.

JOHN: Oh .. so um obviously you were concerned about it.
JOSIE: No, I'm not.
JOHN: Then why .. why .. why did you bring it back up again after it went silent? And don't say you didn't because you did. And I've got a good memory so there's no point saying that you didn't.
JOSIE: Err .. we'll chat about it somewhere else, shall we?
JOHN: (He laughs) Nooo, not tomorrow – now.

Josie certainly was concerned but still keeps up the pretence that she wasn't. John is intuitive and knows she isn't being truthful here. He just wants Josie to communicate to him what she actually feels and needs from him – he would be willing to do that for her. When you know someone is sad and/or angry but can't understand why it is infuriating and you feel helpless. This is evidentially a conversation that Josie is not comfortable having in the BB House.

JOSIE: No .. we'll chat about it outside.
JOHN: Why outside … what do you mean outside?! What has outside got to do with anything?! … why does he have to be outside? If it's said in the diary room and you know about it .. and I know about it cos obviously I said it .. then what difference does it make if it's said in here or not? Obviously it's been in here anyway, so what's the difference?? (He has walked to another bed to get a pillow) I don't understand why it has to wait until outside. (Josie mumbles something I can't make out) WHY???
JOSIE: (Bewildered but asks gently) What's the matter? .. why are you getting your hair off with me?
JOHN: Because .. because you got your hair off with me on the couch .. because you brought it up again!
JOSIE: Alright, I'm sooorry.
JOHN: Well I want to know why!!
JOSIE: Because it just .. it doesn't matter now – it's in the past.
JOHN: Yeah but you just brought it up to the future just then.
JOSIE: Yeah because you said ..
JOHN: (Corrects himself) Present, sorry. Hey?

John just wants Josie to open up and discuss the situation – he couldn't give a rip about the cameras. Josie is seeking his reassurance but will not ask for it. John tries his utmost to chip away at her walls. Not the easiest of tasks! I'd imagine their own insecurities and barriers carried on over in the outside world in their relationship. And right now those protective walls are up high – probably for both of them.

JOSIE: You said 'what did she say?' (she is laying down with her eyes closed)
JOHN: Yeah .. but then you went silent again..
JOSIE: Well I didn't realise you asked to go home that night …. you asked to go home, you tried to f*****g escape through the fire exit .. (stammers words) how the .. uhhhh .. how embarrassing!!
JOHN: For who?!!
JOSIE: ME!! You idiot.
JOHN: How is that embarrassing for you? Why is this all about you, you, you? How is me going home got to do with you?
JOSIE: Because John it looks like I told you I fancied you and then you tried to escape twice!! Not once.. twice.
JOHN: Four times!
JOSIE: (Laughs in disbelief) Oh nooooo, that's even worse!

As their relationship developed and progressed with levels of affection etc.. Josie still had in the back of her mind these thoughts that John had said those things in the Diary Room. The discussion brought these thoughts back to the surface and boiled over. Josie continually attempts to change the subject. Though it had only come to light this evening that John had asked to leave in the particular diary room entry that they are discussing. Josie did not know this and it hurt her. She was also embarrassed. John is becoming increasingly annoyed that Josie is raking up comments he made in the past. Comments he made when he was confused and possibly in denial of his own feelings.

JOHN: No three times for that .. no, no it was only twice .. it was twice .. it wasn't because .. (Josie looks heartbroken) I said, they said 'how can you resolve the situation?' you told me about the particular conversation that was said about Laura, so what did she say? What did she tell you that happened in that conversation?
JOSIE: That you were in the diary room going 'I just DON'T LOOK AT HER LIKE THAT!! I just don't look at her like that.'
JOHN: I never ever said anything like that ever. And you can watch the diary room entries when you go.
JOSIE: Alright, well that's what I got told.
JOHN: What .. what .. that was .. happened – if someone said to me ..
JOSIE: And then you just told me out there that you asked to go home .. again!
JOHN: But that's how you would reply in an argument .. if someone said to you 'you like her!' and I went 'yeah, I just don't like her', 'yeah, you like her.' 'Yeah, I just don't like her!' or I 'just don't like her like that' that is the way you would respond to the way you just said it. Do you think Big Brother went 'Ohhhh I think you do like her, John!' and I went 'look I just don't like her like that' .. as if you would respond in that sort of a way to Big Brother.
JOSIE: I can imagine you saying it!
JOHN: Hey?
JOSIE: I can imagine you saying something like that.

Josie was upset to discover that John had asked to go home yet again in the Diary room (this hadn't been revealed to her in their past chats) so it was natural for her to feel embarrassed. It was a mistruth (if such a word exists!!) for John to say he hadn't ever said that he didn't look at Josie 'like that' as on different occasions he told Caoimhe, Dave, Mario and Big Brother this. More to come later …

Hello everyone

Remember me????

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. I have been busy with work and real life and a new boyfriend who lives 30 miles away from me so my time has been taken up with that so do not really know what has been happening except obviously that JJJ are still no more.

Hope you are all ok?

I have had a quick skim of some pages and see things are not looking good and things seem to have taken a bit of a nasty turn which is a shame.

What a shame. Maybe it was too much to soon for her? Would it not be worth meeting up as friends and see if it develops from there?

Playing with his words again. Emphasing more on the in the tone of how it was said not what he actually said, to avoid admitting he actually said it. No wonder she was confused by him most of the time. I know I was.

But.....I miss the "hey" ......can you hear it?
