Poor Ste he has spent his whole life being manipulated and controlled by people, poor lad never really catches a break - i think Amy is the only relationship in his life that is genuine (and thats been through soem pretty serious shit) Everyone else we have seen him form a bond with has utilmately tried to destroy him, his family, Brendan (in is mixed up way of loving Ste) the weird Abi/Daniel thing. He really does crave to be in a loving stable relationship i think and like you guys have said that could be why he sticks with Noel despite not really feeling for him. Especially if Noel is showing Ste he wants to committ to him, it could be that his 'love' is enough for the both of them in Ste's eye but ultimately he will resent Noel and that could be when things get interesting with Brendan again?

Oh I really was clueless with HO around that time. I just did not get the Rae stuff at all. I think it's because I guess that was the start of stuff that they planned for being a six month storyline clashing with stuff intended to elongate it and keep Brendan around, but still.
