Eggs
Anyone else a big fan of eggs? I love them in pretty much any form, but I have a particular fondness for the humble scrambled egg.
Either pure and simple with a little salt and loads of pepper on wholemeal toast spread with real butter or with mushroom, bacon or cheese. How do you like yours?I also love a Spanish omelette, though mine tend to end up going off on a tangent. I like to add mushroom, spinach, cherry toms and a wee sprinkle of cheese.

I like eggs in all forms, but poached is the preferred method for me.

I love eggs.
Poached egg on toast Scrambled egg on toast, either with smoked salmon and black pepper or with grilled tomatoes and mushrooms Boiled egg and soldiers Fried egg sandwich I can never decide how to eat fried eggs though. I tend to do it the way my granddad did - cut all around the yolk, eat all the white first, and then eat the yolk whole. But I feel like I'm missing the joy of dipping bread/sausages/etc in my egg. I need some double-yolked eggs! |

Love them. In all forms and you can bake with them too. Brilliant. And great for kids they are the quickest and easiest tea ever.

Try Old Cotswold Legbar Eggs
Pale blue shells, and the most vivid yellow /orange yolks. Well worth a few pence extra. 1.95 for 6 in Sainsbury/Asda best eggs by far, imo |

I love eggs too, but im not very good at cooking them. I can do fried eggs and scrambled, and very well. But I cant do poached or an omelette (im not even sure how to spell omelette !!).
Luckily, my husband is a whiz at these, so i leave those up to him. |

I'm not really a fan of eggs in their whole form. Happy to have them in batter, cakes, sauces etc. but not really a fan of poached and definately not boiled or for salad/sandwiches.
Sometimes though I do get a craving for a fried egg on a sarnie or a fry up and sometimes even scrambled. |

Luckily, my husband is a whiz at these, so i leave those up to him. I love the idea of the OP to put spinach, cheese and even cherry toms in (although I don't like cooked tomatoes much, so would probably just serve the toms uncooked to accompany it) I tend to only ever make one type of omelette - mushroom! ![]() I make my scrambled eggs in a glass jug in the micro - saves me having an eggy saucepan to tackle after. ![]() I use a big knob of butter, a splash of milk - and a rather generous sprinkling of garlic salt. As long as you don't overdo them they come out all fluffy and lovely - timing is everything with the micro - sometimes 30 seconds too much and they're a goner - too rubbery! |

I love eggs, but ugh, I'm absolutely horrendous at making hard-boiled ones. I always think they're ready, then I de-shell and it splurges all over my hand in a yucky yolky mess. Does anyone have any tips? How long are you meant to boil them for? I just can't get it right!

I enjoy cooking, and like to treat my girlfriend with lots of meals that take hours of painstaking prep to make.... she told me the thing she likes best for me to make her, poached eggs on toast!

Scrambled duck eggs are my fav, made with fresh finely cut garlic stalks and grated strong cheddar cheese, no salt required.

Always had that problem myself but since using one of these I have managed to have poached or boiled egg on toast with none of the mistakes I used to make
Suddenly those JML adverts all make sense! Why isn't this in my life!?

When I was ill and couldn't eat anything but eggs for a year, they kept me surprisingly healthy. I ended up only slightly deficient in a number of vitamins and minerals but was generally in good shape. I shall be watching the Royal Wedding (even though I'm Irish and shouldn't care ) whilst eating a breakfast omelette tomorrow.I think boiled might be my favourite form but honestly I'm not fussy. |

Scrambled eggs with double cream - beautiful. Eggs are amazing. My friend eats duck eggs although I dunno, I can't bring myself to eat one.

Then there are the cakes, yorkshire puddings, pancakes, souffles. I love making far east style spicy noodle soup with whatever chopped up green veg I have, some fesh coriander and then an egg whisked through. Quick and delicious. Made fried rice this evening with an egg stirred through - they are so incredibly versatile. The best fast food there is. |
