Nokia N8...

Anyone else have an N8?

I've recently got an upgrade to the N8 and have to say how impressed I am with it. The camera, which is important to me, is second to none, it looks classy and does the job! User friendly too.

I think it's overlooked quite a bit.

Anyone else agree?

I have heard nothing but good things about the N8's camera and recommended it to a friend. My last phone was a symbian based device the Samsung i8510, the thing that let me down the most was the poor web browser.

How do you find your phone for battery life and general usability etc? Do you make use of things like music, email etc on your phone? It's hard to find people who've owned it for a while to get their opinions.

The battery life is very good imo! I had an old N95 before and was bracing myself for having to charge the N8 all the time - but I find I'm charging it about every 2 days! Which is pretty good.

General usability is good - very easy to use.

Is it Symbian run?

As a camera it's simply the best you can get on a phone and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

As a phone.....it's fine if you're still a fan of the N95. If you're not bothered by 2006 technology and layout then I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

Agreed on the camera. Its head and shoulders above everything else ont he market.

As a *phone* its still ahead of Android (at least as of 2.1), and its user interface is just as easy to use as Android. The only area that it lacks is the stock browser, but put Opera Mobile on there and its as good as Android or iOS. And at least on mine running PR1.2, it gives me the split screen keyboard.

Regularly connecting it up via HDMI for playing games (Angry Birds played on a 42" screen with a mouse!), watching videos or pictures taken on the phone, call quality is perfect.

It's all down to personal preference but there's no way the M8's system could be considered better than Android.
