I heard the video was too edgy for Britney's fans and MTV so her 'adviders' decided to not use a full day of footage. And we ended up with a shit one. I like watching the Gimme More video on fast forward though.

I think the parts they cut revealed she was a pole dancer. But it just looks like a random girl took to the pole. Also there were some scenes where she was topless and was covering herself with her jacket. You see this part for about half a second during the released one. So yeah I think it was too risque.

I don't think it would have done to be honest. Her fans have grown older with her, it's not like all her fans are 10 years old. I do wish management would realise this (with every artist, not just britney).

Maybe it would be too shocking but they should have done it more subtly or made a different video. These videos always have a habit of rearing their ugly head a few years down the line. I would love her to release it onto a video compilation DVD to mark her 15th year.
