She's not under Jive anymore, but she's in a VERY weird situation right now.The transition to RCA hasn't been completed, so at this point she's under half a label....I don't know if she can do promo in this state, but the 8th era HAS to be big!Anyway, I think the 'Femme Fatale' era is not over yet, but it was obviously started by Jive to milk Britney before they shut down. The album was still a gem, but everything about that era was rushed (apart from the videos of course ).I don't care if she performs on X Factor or in a parking lot; I just want to see her perform once to represent the album more. However, it's not late at all.If she performs just once (official Britney phrase : HOW HARD CAN THAT BE?) she will re-ignite the interest of the audience. She's travelling now, so why not perform at least once internationally?IWG could still benefit from a performance, because it didn't make much of a splash and 'Criminal' with live vocals could be extremely good for her career.

How i would have promoted the Femme Fatale Era would be -

January - HIAM/VIdeo following week
February - Scary (should be on the album) release with video, eerie and slick
March - Till The World Ends/video, Femme Fatale album promotions live STateside shows into gear
April - I wanna go released to radio, video same month
May - Be asked to do the Big Weekend as one of the Headliners and travel to the UK to perform a scaled down show OR
June - Asked to Headline at glasto for a massive show (like Bey) as one of the Live Acts (maybe not Headline) to sustain album promo across Europe. Also How I Roll released NOW with video
August - Criminal released with remix EP and video live performances perhaps. Drop Dead Beautiful released as a promo single for Clubs and mixes etc.

This winter Oct - Dec. Perform in London. g-a-y Club in London (like before) for scaled down promo for 6 songs perhaps, The X Factor, Jools Holland?, Wossy Interview just have Britney milked across the winter for album promo.

Thats what i dont understand, the album has one of the best Dance themed concepts....why didnt they really endorse in it in direction, theme in performance and promo???

Because the label was about to shut down and they just wanted to make fast money. There was boredom and laziness all over this era...

It is really absurd though....Femme Fatale is just fantastic i have no idea why they wont endorse themselves in it to be honest.

With all the promo the likes of Rihanna, gaga, Bey and even Katy have done its just a bit gutting isnt it really! Its like....DAMN!

Femme Fatale is fantastic and very versatile.Even the most clueless label could do so many different things about it.But Jive is a nightmare in general. They even sabotage their own acts ( I am not joking!).They were just in a hurry, trying to milk Britney one more time before they shut down; that's all. However, I must admit that Britney's non-commital attitude when it comes to videos and TV promo doesn't help much.Britney loves to perform live for a big audience; that's what she loves to do.I really think that if she had a choice she wouldn't shoot any videos at all!!She hates interviews, she isn't very enthusiastic about video shoots /photoshoots, so she's not the easiest to handle.

Anyway, RCA is a real label and after screwing up every single one of their acts in 2010 they have really got it together, so they can help Britney compensate for the lack of promo of this era and place her as high as she deserves to be

That promo actually sounds pretty good. I really think Scary should have been the lead single, it's a great song. Why it wasn't on FF I will never know.

I think that if someday we get to listen to all the songs that the label rejected, we will start wondering the same about every song...

Yes i think HIAM was a good set up for the era with a bit of a weird video....BUT Scary should have been one of the lead releases and ON the album itself! Definitely fantastic song and would have had an epic video...instant smash too

And I am all for a bootleg to hear all the songs that were menat for Original Doll, Blackout, Circus and now Femme Fatale...maybe some of the Rusko sessions, William Orbit sessions too.

It needs to happen when this era ends definitely, and maybe a release with a video for it too endorse it too

I woud prefer an ultimate unreleased material album.I suspect there are about 30-40 gems waiting to get released...That could actually be pretty damn epic!

Definitely!

I reckon they could do a 2CD compilation of unreleased Britney! They can definitely market that! I would prefer it over a remix album most definitely!

And must be an official release too

Agreed, but I doubt they'd release all that material. .Too many legal obligations, I assume. It would be really epic for her to have an album like that, though.Right now, I'm just focusing on the 8th album tbh and I'm expecting big things! However, I'd love some of unreleased stuff from 'Circus' and 'FF' getting on her next 2-3 albums. They are too new to sound dated and if they could re-work on the leftover tracks from ITZ and 'Blackout' they can make them sound 2015 definetely...

I dont suspect big things really as Femme Fatale is as big as they are gonna make it at the moment. But as you say 2015 she can perhaps re-work some tunes!

I don't know, but the new label seems really promising!Femme Fatale was a gem and she didn't even have control over it.Just imagine FF + ITZ = 8th album.Isn't that BIG??Of course that's all assumptions, but if she does get control I am expecting big things. But even if she doesn't get control, then at least the new label is going to book her decent promo and make worthy videos. They had to fill HIAM with adverts to make it; that's not how a label should treat the lead single! If RCA gives her the Rihanna/KP treatment and granted that she is BRITNEY she is going to slay. That's pretty big!

Well Britneys in France now.. Will she begin some Europe Promotion ? I doubt it
Speaking of France, apparentley Britney is going to receive a Lifetime Achievement thingy at France's kinda-sorta version of the VMAs. Not MTV, but NRG is like the alternative to the more serious music awards.

Is she also going to perform at the NRG awards...I REALLY hope so!!She has nothing to lose but plenty to gain and a major appearance like that will do her good!Just the exposure is good enough, but I'd love a performance!!Is there any chance of this happening?

I hope so too. Britney presented the same award to Madonna in 2003/2004. It would be nice if M was there for that one, full circle, etc.

One of the DJs apparentley let it slip that it's happening on the NRJ (Yeah, it's actually NRJ Sorry!) radio station.

Back when Brit presented the award to Madonna, she also performed Toxic that night. It's a good performance.

I agree

Both this and Blackout are very wasted opportunities. FF could easily of been her Confessions era imo.

Imagination's taking over,
Another day without a lover,
The more I come to understand...
