Ouch! I really think her popularity is wading slightly - of course there's no video out yet and it was rush released at the last minute like Born This Way but I really thought that unlike Britney with Till The World Ends Lady Gaga would be one of the very few artists who could dominate the charts when new material is dropped spontaneously. Also quite shocked that BTW failed to top the charts. Personally I think BTW and Judas are very poor efforts after monster anthems like Bad Romance, Poker Face and Just Dance.

Lady GaGa Bashing Thread #5869756392856492.

Considering she hasn't done one thing for this at all - no video, no promo, etc. I think it's doing fine. Once she gets to work it'll climb.

Lets face it! her music is not as good as her stuff from the fame.

She's done zero promotion here and it had very little ariplay last week, what with it being Easter Week and the song being about Judas. She'll be over here next month to promote the album. And the album will do amazingly. She is still hugely popular and there is no evidence that that is changing.

Her music isn't as good as the previous album... everything has gone downhill since Bad Romance in my opinion, but I doubt she/her management team is worried. She's still very successful worldwide despite doing little to promote Judas and BTW.

i don't think it is about lady gaga bashing. it wasn't my intention when i posted something similar when judas entered the charts.

it is about everyone having an opinion. i agree the last two singles have been weak. the chart positions have reflected that.

The ''Wink'' symbol seems to be completely redundant now...

I really don't think the UK market will go for her album anything like so much this time round. But, of course, if I am proved wrong I'll hold my hand up and take the brickbats, lol. At the moment, judging by the sales of Judas in particular, it's only really her LMs who are buying her stuff (and they would basically buy anything she put out). Time will tell whether the 'floating voters' will come on board when the album's launched. But she'll need them on board to become a massive seller again.

i just think it is important for everyone to have their say. without being accused of gaga bashing. to me it seems the only bashing that is going on is from people who object to anything slightly negative said about gaga.

once the videos out she will be straight in the top 5

Of course everyone can have their say, but go on thinking I'm some sort of GaGa-Nazi if you like.

Not ideal, but on air on sale kind of vaults songs up temporarily only to have them free-fall after the fan-base has got it. After airplay rises, the video comes out and she begins promotion, I'm sure it will climb and stabilise.

I think it's more down to a lack of proper promotion of the song atm.

No video, no performances and little radio play means little of the public even know the single is out I presume. Her fans got it charting to it's current level but once the promo becomes proper (which it will soon, she's almost finished her tour) and the radio 1 live weekend performance. It may stay on the charts for a while.

The album will likely do well, she has the promo for it well planned.

Its all down to the poor quality songs IMO.

I was a massive fan of the Fame/Fame Monster, but the latest two are like bad Eurovision entries!

the song will stick around the top10 though, and her Radio1 performance will get her a lot of attention.

I think the performance of judas is a little exaggerated yet,she hasnt done promo, it was rush released due to it been leaked, if she does promo and mix that with the video and increased airplay i can see judas selling quiet well. Many people have said the same about born this way but so far in the uk alone it has built up quiet decent sales and is still selling.

Yes the quality of the music isnt as good as her previous era but realistically it was always going to be very hard to beat. Judas has still managed to go top 10 with zero promotion so that says something.

I don't really get what people were expecting to happen?

Both singles have ridden off her name alone because she hasn't done any promo here for over a year. Even when you're as famous as Gaga, you still need to hustle your latest material...and in particular here, you have to show the UK some love in order for them to show you it back.

Besides, it's only really Judas that has stalled. BTW would have gone to #1 with it's sales had it not been split between weeks, and it held its own against Brit darlings Jessie J and Adele for a while. It's only just dropped out of the top 20 after a few months.

Once the video comes out for Judas, and Gaga gets her ass over here - she'll be fine.

It's far FAR too early to be commenting on it's success. This on air on sale thing is too new to judge. As others have said, wait for it to build momentum.

Oh come off it, do you honestly believe that's why radio stations haven't been playing it much? It's because it's such a naff song!

Judging by your logic, radio stations will have stop fearing condemnation from Christians and would have started playing it Tuesday onwards. Well, it's Wednesday now and I haven't heard it much... might be because it's a terrible song?

Or is there another excuse you could use. Perhaps because it's April? Or because it's sunny? Or because the sky's blue?

At the risk of inflaming passions on the pro-Gaga side, all the gimmicks are fine if the product is selling. If it isn't it just all looks a bit desperate. But obviously we'll see if the product (album) does sell well (or not) before we say she looks desperate, lol. If I was a LM, my worry would be surely she isn't going to release the 2 worst songs from the upcoming album as the lead singles?

don't forget Flopericano, Flop & I and Bad Flops

and considering there's been little to no promotion, Judas has done quite well so far and it was bound to fall sooner or later because of the lack of promo, once she starts promoting it fully it will climb back up the charts like Born This Way and Bad Romance did.
