Against my better judgment I called P4U yesterday and was offered a fantastic deal on the Samsung Galaxy S 2. The phone has just arrived and I have to say its amazing. If you thought the original SGS was good this leaves it well and truly behind. As for speed this thing is so quick. You touch the screen and it responds so quickly. Will do a further update when I have had a chance to play some more.

What was the deal they offered you?

How do you find the build quality of it? Some reviews say it feels cheap.

The back cover feels quite flimsy on its own. However when its fitted to the phone it feels quite solid. The phone is not as solid as say a IPhone or HTC but there are no creaks or rattles from it.
I was offered the phone on Vodafone (24 month) 300 min unlimited texts, 500mb data £30.00 pm. Which was fine for me.

This phone looks and sounds immense. Anyone know why its not available through Vodafone directly yet? Can't preorder or anything. Wondering whether to wait or to go through Phones 4 U, but dont know what they are like. Had a very bad experience last year with Carphone Warehouse so am a bit put off shops like that now.

Have been told it will be available though Vodafone direct and 3 next week.

Well after a few hours play I must say it rates as one of the very BEST phones I have ever used. The battery was half charged when the phone arrived. Even after a good few hours play it still has a little bit of battery life left. The only thing I can think the HTC will better it on will be the overall build quality. Its not a flimsy phone but it just does not feel like a premium phone.

I thought it would be next week. Would have thought it would be available to pre-order at least. Must be patient!

So its well worth getting then? I'm yet to read anything to put me off it so Im hoping it will live up to expectations!!
