Sanyo 32" lcd problem switching off and on..??

Sorry not sure where to post this one?? ...

Long story .. I was given a sanyo ce32ld47-b last nov my sister brought it in asda last june, In dec the tv started to switch its self off and on after a few hours .. engineers came out replaced all the main boards and the fault was still there.. they replaced that with a ce32ld90.. had to return that to them in march as the screen had a fault .. and now they have returned my orginal tv back saying there is no fault .. but again it turn's its self off and on . It does take about 4-5 hours to get it to do the fault and then it does it all the time and you have to switch off the tv and leave it overnight unplugged..

They are now saying its my equipment is faulty .. i have a pc and and virgin box attached to the tv..

The pc was and now attached again to a 42" plasma no problems there for the last 2 years.. No switching on and off there..
My pc is a 9500 phemon with a ati 3200hd graphics card contected to the tv via the monitor cable.. i do this on the plasma no faults there..

The virgin is connected via the hdmi cable..

Reason for changing from the thomson wysius plasma is that the media box is broken and can't be repaired and if it can its too expensive to do..

I am at a lost on what to do?? Any Ideas..

Here's a video of the problem.. Sorry for wobbly video..

Does it do it on both VM and on your PC? - if so it seems likely it's a fault with the TV.

There's always a chance that it's simply incompatible in some way with BOTH the VM box and the PC, but that still means it's faulty as your replacement TV didn't have any problems.

I would suggest you demand a full refund from Asda, you have the recording of proof of what it's doing, and then go and buy a better brand of TV (aither Sony or Panasonic).

Yes it does it with the virgin and pc connected?

My friend is coming around today to collect the tv and see if it does the same thing around his house as he has virgin and a pc connected to his tv.. and go from there?

I am currently looking at the tv's around but my budget is very limited at the moment..

That's why you get a full refund from Asda first

Something is putting the set in and out of standby as from the video the LED appears to be going on and off. Is this so?

Check the standby button on the RCU isn't stuck down, better still take the RCU out of the room. Does it happen when the curtains are closed? direct sunlight on the remote sensor can cause odd problems.

Remove the plastic protection from over the touch sensors and give them a wipe with a duster, don't think it's that though because you usually hear a bleep when the touch controls are activated.
