my sister has this phone and has been having problems charging it.

She has already bought a replacement lead to charge it up but still having problems.

I suspect the battery is faulty as there is nothing actually wrong with the working of the phone just the charging fault.

anyone know if replacement official batterys are cheap to buy and where from ?

You're looking at about £15-20 for a genuine replacement. Couple of links below:

Genuine replacements are about £10 on Amazon but I bought a copy and it's just as good as the original so far. Price was £4 delivered so why not get a couple and still save £15 compared to what the local phone shop would charge.
