I want to copy a 2gb SD card to a 8gb SD, can I just do a straight copy and past or do I need to copy it in a special way to keep the data structure, such as the apps?

Thanks

It depends which phone you are talking about. Many will allow you just to copy the files from the old to the new. Others have hidden files. Others still need you to move apps to handset memory and then back to the card.

Opps I meant from my Advent Vega tablet, not phone. I think I'll have to install the apps again.

Cheers.

If it is partitioned, you'll need to make similar partitions and copy the files over to PC or whatever and to the new card. To back up apps (If you need/want to and don't want to download them all again), I would suggest using something like Titanium Backup.

Hi thanks, I copied the visible files and folders to the new card and it seems to be OK. All apps working and settings.
